Through the pain

Paralysis

My headphones are in my ears,
So I could sleep in peace
On these dark and cold nights.
So not to be paralyzed
By the demons of the shadow world,
Who seem to be scary, but they're not.
At least they are trying
To break the silence,
Which has been torturing me.
So they want it to leave.
I used to be afraid of these demons.
I thought they were the cause of my fever.
But now their intentions are clear:
They are the only ones here
Who want to protect me from being weak.
That's why I stopped being sick.
It's much easier to breathe
When you are no longer afraid of your fears.
