I couldn't believe it. After so many years we just bumped into each other; through mutual friends! Un-fucking-believable. And what's worse? She has a boyfriend now; goddammit. Me and the boys were now back in our aparment the three of us shared, we moved in together about two years ago and it's been great, it's the total bachelor-pad. Well, for me and Greg at least.

"Fuck!" I cursed loudly as I gripped her bookw in my hands and threw it against the window as I clenched my hands into fists. The boys looked at me with wide eyes in surprise

"Whoa there, Hulkie." Greg said cautiously "What's wrong?" I breathed deeply as I closed my eyes, pinching the bridge of my nose as I groaned throatily

"You remember Eleanor?" I asked, they nodded slowly "Remember the blonde from the restaurant?" Realization dawned upon their features as I sighed deeply

"Shit, mate." Jacob breathed as he patted my shoulder sympathetically "That sucks."

"She was hot." Greg chuckled, I glared at him as my nostrils flared; he chuckled while raising his hands in defense "Sorry."

"I can't believe it." I groaned as I covered my face with my hands

"Don't worry man." Jacob said softly "Maybe this is a sign." he said and I shook my head

"Remember that guy that looks like that dude from Gossip Girl?" I asked and they nodded slowly but chuckled "Danielle made me watch it." I said in defense "Well, he's her boyfriend." I added and they shook their head softly "This sucks." I breathed deeply as I clenched my hands into fists even tighter as my jaw clenched

"What are you going to do?" Jake asked and I sighed

"Can you take me to Danielle's place? i need to talk to her."

"I have nothing to say to you, Lucas. Get out." She snapped furiously and I sent her a pleading look as I rested my hand on the door to keep her from slamming it in my face "I mean it, Lucas." She threatened

"Dani, please." I begged "Hear me out." I breathed, she sighed deeply before crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at me slightly

"Don't call me that." She whispered "You lost that right when you left without saying goodbye." She muttered before stepping aside so I could enter her place

"Nice place." I commented and she ran her hands through her hair

"What are you doing here?" She asked "Don't think that because you're best friends with my boyfriend that we're cool." I half-smiled; she hadn't changed. "Well?" She pressed and I sighed

"I came to apologize; along with needing to ask for a favor." She scoffed

"And what makes you think I'd do anything for you?" She laughed "I don't even know you anymore, Lucas. My best friend wouldn't leave without saying goodbye." She croaked, I saw her eyes fill with tears and I reached out for her, but she backed away "What do you want?" She sniffled, wiping a tear with her thumb

"Dani..." I whispered, she flinched

"Don't call me that!" She exclaimed "Either you tell me what you're doing here or I'll drag your ass out!"

"I need to see her." I muttered and she chuckled dryly while rolling her eyes

"Yeah, that'll happen." She said sarcastically and I sighed deeply

"I'm trying here, Dani." She flinched as she closed her eyes tightly but said nothing "I really am."

"Sorry's not enough." She answered and I rubbed my jaw "It'll never be."

"What do you want from me?!" I exclaimed and she flinched again "You want me to get down on my hands and knees and beg for your forgiveness?!" She rolled her eyes as she walked away "Don't walk away from me!"

"You're one to talk!" She said as se jabbed her finger on my chest as she glared at me "You're the one who walked away, Luke!" She snapped and I frowned

"What are you talking about?" I asked

"You know exactly what I'm talking about!" She exclaimed "After Avery's accident, you're the one that walked away!" She snapped "We were there for you, Luke." She added "Me, Aunt Jess, Eleanor." She said, her glare deepening "But you still walked away."

"What else could I have done?!" I exclaimed "Avery almost died because of what happened; I needed to get her away!"

"You would've left anyway, Lucas!" She snapped "Your aunt Jess told me about the family cottage but you still left; to New York?!" She exclaimed "Why, Luke?"

"I got into medical school." I muttered "So I took the chance."

"Why didn't you tell us?" She breathed and I shrugged

"What difference would it have made?" I asked and she chuckled dryly

"All the difference in the world."
