DARRIANS POV:

I wasn't feeling good today ever since notti passed away I haven't been feeling like myself he was always there for me

I replayed the happy memories in my head hoping they'd make me feel better but it just made me miss him more

I roll over on my bed laying face down I hear someone knock on my door I recognize the knock its zaila

"come in" I mumble into the bed I hear my door open and close

"hey how are you feeling? " she asks clearly seeing me not acting myself

"I mis him" I mumble "I know" she says with sadness in her voice and without warning she flips me over

"but he would want you to be happy" she says as she gently kisses my forehead "smile for him okay? " she whispers and a smile tugs on my lips

"Good" she says as she hugs me I hug her back and mumble "thanks you"

She just nods in response as she gently rubs my back "just stay strong " she says as she smiles and turns on the TV putting on a movie halfway through the movie she reaches for my hand

She interlocks her fingers with me softly causing me to smile she gently rubs the top of my hand with her thumb

"I love you" she says

"I love you too" I respond smiling as we both doze off into a peaceful slumber
