I pace around the bathroom tears threating to fall I run my hands through my hands through my hair nervously

Around two weeks ago me and darrian decided to move sexually forward in our relationship but before hand we decided that I should go on birth control

I was confused when my period was 4 week late and my stomach started slightly expanding I decided to be safe I should take a test and that is how I ended up in the position I'm in now

I glanced at the test and stopped moving

Tears immediately started rolling down my face I fall to the floor silently having a break down I couldn't believe I was pregnant I'm carrying a child inside me

What is darrian going to say I don't care if he doesn't want this child abortion is completely out of the question maybe we can consider adopti- the front door closing sends me from my thoughts

He's home should I tell him right now?

Should I wait?

Thousands of thoughts rush through my head making me dizzy I shove the test into my pocket which I had already  disposed of the box immediately after buying It I wipe my salty tears from my skin I take a deep breath and open the door I step out nervously "darrian?"

I call his name weakly "I'm downstairs why does it so don't like you've been crying? " he hollers I jog downstairs
"Hey ml" he smiles and wraps his arms around my waist "your eyes are red have you been crying? " he asks

"Darrian please sit down this is important" he sits down and looks at me waiting for what I have to say I gently remove the test from my pocket and hand it to him "u got covid? " he asks

I laugh slightly realizing I have to tell him now "no I- I'm pregnant" I say trying to sound stable his jaw drops
"Like a baby on the way? " he asks and I nod he closes his mouth quickly

"I thought you were on the pill? " he says "I am but it's not always affective" I respond not meeting his eyes he walks over to my and grabs my chin making me look at him "it's mine right? "

I nod and he cracks a small smile and he bends down and plants a kiss on my stomach "im going to be a dad" he says excitedly I smile and nod a single tear escaping my eye he looks at me and wipes it away and pulls me into a hug

"I love you both" darrian says smiling

"We love you too" I say smiling
