Very quickly I noticed that the world was very different from how I was raised. The druid had taught me about capitalism, but I had never seen it for myself.

I thought I understood the concept of capitalism, but I was so wrong. I sold a lot of the druid's possessions. The livestock brought in the most money. Most of the furniture was old and unusable for other races. Before I knew it, I had almost nothing left myself and not enough money for a new place to live. No real estate agent wanted to sell me a piece of land or house because I was too young.

After months of being homeless a living of the little money I had. So far, I had traveled that I had arrived in a big city. Only to find out that city life was many times more expensive than that in the villages along the way. I needed to watch my spending and find a way to earn money. Wherever I asked for work they thought I was a dirty tramp and wouldn't even look at what I could do. Many times, I wanted to give up and return home only unfortunately I did not know where home was. I had been on the road far too long to know the way back.
