"HAPPY BIRTHDAY"They say as it clicks twelve o'clock
I was so happy at the moment.I felt so special. I cut the cake and take a bite and give it to Aditya to take a bite.Out of nowhere Malini comes crashing into the cake and pushing it to the ground.
"Oh my gosh, on my birthday, really Malini"I mumbled in shock at what Just happened
"Imlie"Aditya says in an angry voice"She tripped,why are you acting so rude"he says making me sound like the bad guy
"Fine,fine let's just dance"I say holding back my tears and signaling the Dj to start playing music
I just danced lightly to shake of the bad energy and remember today is my birthday.After a dance circle a slow song started
"This is for all the lovers, happy birthday Imlie"The Dj says through the microphone
I walk over to ask Aditya to dance and we start dancing.
"Can I cut in"Malini says
"No"I say not looking at her and Aditya gives me a stern look and I move away from him and let her dance.
I walk over to a table and have a glass of water when someone bumbs into me and the water spills on the ground.
I look and see Aditya and Malini walking over to me when Malini slips and hits the ground,I didn't even see her fall cause the party was so crazy.
"Malini!"Aditya says as Malini hits the ground
She hits her head hard,I squat down to see her face
"Malini are you okay"I say
"Who spilled this water"Aditya says
He then looks at me and saw the empty cup in my hand
"Did you do this"he says getting angry
"No......but...I"I mumble
"Why would you do that"he say
"I just.. "I say
"You did this for revenge"he said helping her up
"No,I didn't"I say
"You are so......I'm just going to take her to her room. You shouldn't have done this"he says and walks out
His words kept ringing in my head and I went up to the rooftop with apple juice and sat down on the roof edge and enjoyed the view sadly
"Imlie what are you doing here"I hear Chirag's voice say from behind me
"I was just pissed so I came here"I said and Chirag sat down next to me
"It your 18th birthday and your on the roof looking into the sunset"he said
"If you don't know this is one of my best birthdays,I'm sitting next to my Best friend and looking into the sunset what could be better"I say taking a sip of my apple juice
"Yeah right"he says smiling
"Your the best"I say
"Happy birthday little girl"he says
"Thanks"I say as we look into the sunset

I yawn as the reflection of the sun hits my face
I got up brushed my teeth and had a shower.I wore my sun bright yellow skirt and a black top and put on a yellow hair band.
By the time I was done dressing up Aditya was too.He looked very official
"Are you going somewhere"I say fixing his collar
"Yeah I'm having a promotion ceremony today"he says
"Oh that nice"I say
"Please be there"he says
"I will,I promise"I say
"I will go early to get everything ready"he say
"Okay let's go down for the morning ceremony"I say as we walk downstairs
The morning ceremony is more like a welcome for the brand new day and every daughter in law must do it
As we were walking down stairs I heard Malini telling mom that I can't do the ceremony cause in not trained or matured for it yet
"I am"I say in defense
I walk to malini and take the tray for the ceremony from her
"I can do it mom after all I have been doing it"I say
"Okay then" she says and leaves to call everyone else
"Don't stress,I can do it"Malini say trying to take the tray but my grip is too strong
We begin to struggle for the tray until the oil splashed on her
"Ahh"she says as Aditya's attention went away from his phone to her
"What happened"Aditya said
"I'm sorry I just wanted to perform the ceremony you didn't have to splash the oil on me"Malini said talking to me
"I'm so sorry"I say in an apologetic way
"Imlie do you have to be so petty"Aditya says
"Petty?"I ask
"It just a ceremony you didn't have to pour oil on her cause you want to perform the ceremony"he said giving malini a towel
Before I could say anything the whole family were gathered so I started the ceremony
I cracked a coconut and poured the water on the entrance of the door I oiled hands and placed flower petals together on the entrance and made a beautiful design.
I was done an got up and everyone started clapping and suddenly malini ran through my design destroying it and went out side. I turned to the direction of the door to see what made her destroy my design
It was her mom.She was hugging her mom like she had just seen her for the first time in 15 years
I walked outside to ask her why she destroyed my design so rudely
"Em we don't talk to servants,now get me a cup of tea"she says
"I'm not a servant but I can get you a cup of tea"I say kindly
"Get out of my way"Hayden says pushing me and walking inside
After everyone left as I fixed the design
Aditya walked up to me as I was tying my hair for school
"Please it's very important you come Imlie"he says with a sad face
"I will,I promise"I say
"Well lately you've been acting up"he say fixing his tie
"Acting up?"I question
"Yeah,you have been picking silly fights with Malini"he says
"I don't pick figh......."I say getting cut of
"Just be on time please"he pleads
"Okay"I say and wave a goodbye and head to school
