Paw Patrol AU: Shattered Bonds

Chapter 6: On the Case!

Ryder, Chase, Dina, and Magenta were in the forest searching for Marshall.

Ryder: "Anyone found anything yet?"

Dina: "Nope."

Chase: "Me neither."

Magenta: "Same here."

Ryder: "Okay, keep looking."

It was starting to get late as the sun was beginning to set.

Dina: "It's getting darker."

Ryder: "We can search for about another hour or 2 before it gets too dark."

Magenta: "Then we better find him fast."

Dina: "Where could he be? We've been searching for hours."

Ryder: "I don't know, we just have to hope we find at least any clue as to where he could have gone."

Chase: "This is all my fault."

Everyone's attention went toward the police pup.

Chase: "I yelled at him and basically said I hate you. Why am I so stupid!"

Ryder: "Chase, you need to calm down."

Chase: "I can't calm down knowing I cussed my best friend, my brother to run away."

Dina: "I know your angry at yourself, but it's not going to help us find him."

Chase: "I know, but it's so hard not to be angry at myself. I said so many horrible thing to him."

Ryder: *sigh* "Listen Chase, you want to get him back right?"

Chase: "Of course I do Ryder!"

Ryder: "Then act like you want to. Getting mad at yourself is not a way of doing that."

Magenta: "Ryder's right you know."

Chase: "Yeah, I know.

Magenta gave Chase a reassuring smile

Magenta: "We'll find him."

Chase: "I know we will."

Dina: "That's the spirit Chase."

Chase: "Also Magenta."

Magenta: "Yes?"

Chase looked down at bit in disappointment of himself.

Chase: "I'm sorry for scarring you so badly when I yelled at Marshall. I didn't even try to make sure you were really okay. I just walked away thinking you'll snap out of it in a few minutes."

Dina: "She was a wreck Chase. I don't mean to make the mood worse but she looked awful. When I came down the elevator and saw her just laying there frozen, I got scarred. I didn't know what happened."

Chase: "I-I'm sorry, I really am. I wish I hadn't done what I did."

Magenta: "It's okay Chase, we know you would never want to say what you said to him."

Dina: "Agreed, but the damage has been done. All we can do now is hope we can find him."

Ryder: "Yeah, but..."

Everyone turned toward Ryder who had a very concerned look on his face.

Dina: "But what Ryder."

Ryder: "Even if we do find him, there's no garuntee that he will come back with us."

Everyone kept driving in silence. They hadn't thought about what they would do if Marshall refused to come back home.

Dina: "Crap, I didn't think about that.."
