Kara stared at her reflection in the mirror as Carole did her hair.

After an hour of stressing about not finding anything to wear, which left one more hour to get herself ready, the pilot had finally gotten herself ready thanks to the much needed help from her sister-in-law.

She wore a white and black polka-dotted dress that hugged her body before it flared out from her waist down and ended just below her knees. She paired the dress off with a pair of white lace-up sandals, while her makeup had been done lightly with neutral shades - yet again, making her hazel eyes appear more prominent.

"There you go." Carole said with a smile as she had just finished up with Kara's hair and took a step back to admire her sister-in-law.

She had pinned Kara's blonde locks back into a cute, messy bun with a braid wrapped around it while leaving a few strands to hang freely.

"That boy is going to be speechless when he sees you." She gushed, which resulted in a light blush dusting across the female pilot's cheeks.

"Thank you for your help." Kara said appreciatively with a smile as she got to her feet.

"Oh, please." Carole responded with a small wave of her hand. "You know I'll always help you."

"I hope Nicky never lets you go." The blonde teased and pulled her sister-in-law in for a hug; Carole giggling softly as she returned the gesture.

"Kara," Nick called from the living room. "Tom is here."

With that, the two women broke away from their hug as Kara turned her head towards the direction of her bedroom door - her stomach twisting slightly with nerves.

"I'll go out first." Carole said with a soft smile and exited the bedroom, only for an impressed expression to grace her features as her eyes landed on the pilot in question.

"She'll be out any second now." The blonde woman announced with a smile before she shifted her gaze towards her husband and his friend. "You two better be nice." She added, pointing at them.

"I'm always nice." Nick responded, which simply made his wife roll her eyes playfully in response as he wrapped his arm around her.

Tom couldn't help but smile at the sight of Nick and Carole. He could only hope to have that kind of love that they shared one day in the near future.

But his thoughts were, however, broken as his gaze landed on the youngest Bradshaw sibling; his breath hitching slightly at the sight of her.

"Wow." He said, almost breathlessly as his heart had begun to race. "Kara, you look beautiful."

A shy smile graced the blonde's lips, not missing the sight of Carole, Nick, and Pete smirking at the awe-struck, ice-cold pilot.

"Thank you." She replied as a small smirk soon glittered across her lips. "You don't look half bad yourself."

Tom was handsome in his uniform, even suited up in his flight gear, but Kara couldn't help but find him more handsome in civilian clothes. The pilot wore a white shirt - with the top two buttons left unfastened and the sleeves rolled up to just below his elbows - with a pair of dark-washed denim jeans and white sneakers, while his blonde hair was in its usual spiked up style.

A soft chuckle escaped the pilot as a charming smile made its way across his face. "Why, thank you." He said and held his hand out towards her. "Shall we?"

Kara's smile simply broadened as she reached out and placed her hand into his much larger one.

"I want her back here by ten sharp, Kazansky." Nick stated sternly.
