Months pass by since what happened and you can say that you have grown close to the prince and things were going smoothly until one day in the middle of summer
"good morning your majesty" you greeted with a smile he just nodded and got out of bed. he doesn't smile back and you got used to it
The day passed normally until it was night time, when the prince was called to the crown prince's palace, he didn't want to go at first but decided to go in the end, he got ready and went there and you followed him from behind, it was really dark out but you assumed that the prince knew the way.
As you walked you saw a palace afar from you again you assumed it was the crown prince's palace, the palace was glorious and gave off a gentle vibe but something seemed off, you pushed that thought aside and continued walking
As soon as you entered the palace, you noticed the lack of maids and butlers, there wasn't anyone but you and the second prince but still somehow the prince walked in a certain direction as if he was controlled, the man who greeted you in the morning and who you considered a friend of some sort was acting completely different from normal as if someone earsed any feelings in him.
You took a deep breath and soon without you realizing you were in front of a room there was sounds coming from inside the room it sounded weird at first but soon you realized what it was, you covered your mouth in shock your cheeks were bright red but you didn't let out any sound, you didn't know what to do the prince stood in his place as if cold water was poured on him and for the first time he actually seemed shocked and for the first time you felt petty for him
You felt petty that he had to hear his brother doing something like that inside the room that darn door protected both you and him from being traumatized for a life time but soon you heard a familiar voice awfully familiar "I don't care if he knew" you wished you ears had failed you but it seemed like Claude heard it as well
his face turned from shock to anger and he opened the door to the room without even knocking, you didn't know weather to enter with him or to stay out but I guess Claude decided to do the choosing for you as he pulled you inside with him before closing the door behind him the prince seemed like he was seeing red and his grasp at your hand tightened you looked at the bed only to look away once more they were almost completely naked, you closed your eyes in horror.
"what is the meaning of this anastacious" (I forgot how to write his damn name) said claude in anger as he glared at the crown prince
"you weren't giving me attention so I had to go and search for it elsewhere" said the fiance in a venomous tone "also you can't harm me I am pregnant with the future crown prince" she continued I looked at her searching for anything that could say that this was a joke but there wasn't any
The prince turned on his feet and left in anger dragging me along with him my eyes locked with the crown prince for a moment and he had that disgusting smirk on I looked away and I looked at the second prince he didn't look hurt he only looked angry
A few days later it was announced the annulment of the engagement between the second prince and Penelope and a few more months a engagement ceremony was held at the palace between the crown prince and Penelope at that time Claude seemed darked and more angry than usual and on the day of the ceremony Claude murdered his brother and both the emperor and empress did not survive Claude's massacre leaving no one alive he Spared no one but Penelope who begged him to let her live
You were traumatized by this however you thought that even though what Claude did was heartless it was the tiniest bit justified that day Claude announced him self emperor in front of all the nobles who immediately bowed down to him in fear of being killed both you and Felix also bowed to him
From that day one he went on to have a harem of his own where he would play with the women there every night it was disgusting that you had to clean after that every day
You would comfort him every now and then as a friend of course
One day the emperor decided to go to a night festival after Felix almost forced him to he left you at the palace and you were okay with it I mean it only meant you could rest however when he came back from his outing he seemed to have changed 180 degree and you didn't like it he was way out of focus he would barely ask women to his room or visit concubines anymore he always seemed in daze you asked Felix who told you that the emperor had taken interest in a dancer from a far away country
It hurted you for some reason but you blamed it on feeling bad that she would be treated like all the other concubines you refused to belive that you may have fallen for the prince you refused it altogether
