Radio: <<As of yesterday the final remnants of the Parpaldian military surrendered. With its defeat Parpaldia will be carved up. All the rebel states will gain their independence as well as most if not all their pre-annexation territories, unless they wish to join the Terran Federal Republic. Furthermore, the Terran Federal Republic will seize all major port cities and the Greater Esthirant area. In occupied territories martial law will still remain for around another week. The governor has not given an exact date. With that our broadcast is at its end, I'm Alexia Duval and thank you for listening to Galnet local.>>

Merchant 1: Well, it seems that Parpaldia is no more.

Merchant 2: It's somewhat of a shame really, we just lost a major source of income.

Merchant 1: Couldn't we just trade with the Terrans instead?

Merchant 2: I doubt it. I've heard stories that any merchant who tries to trade with them often ends up empty-handed. They aren't interested in any of our wears or any resources we might try and sell them. Even our currency is worthless to them.

Merchant 1: Shouldn't there be an exchange rate.

Merchant 3: Apparently their currency isn't backed by resources like gold.

Merchant 2: Most likely because if it was their currency would be worthless.

Merchant 3: I've heard that they have practically unlimited resources.

Merchant 1: If such a powerful nation exists why haven't they just taken over the planet yet? They would clearly have the power to do so.

Merchant 2: There is most likely some benefit for them to not just take over everything.

Merchant 1: Maybe it's plot?

Merchant 2: What?

Merchant 3: What?

Merchant 1: What?

silence...........

Bartender: *cough*

Merchant 1: Huh?

Bartender: Anyways, I do believe that this means the Terran Federal Republic will replace the Parpaldian Empire at the Eleven Nations leadership conference.

Merchant 2: Most likely.

Bartender: Have you heard the other news involving Mu?

Merchant 1: Even more evidence that the Terrans will be invited to the conference.

Merchant 2: It's surprising that the second most powerful nation in the world would get rid of their currency in favor of another nation.

Merchant 3: I don't find it that surprising.
