Earthrise

He pushed the door and entered the Mararth crater. At this time of the night, it was completely dark inside. But then, that was exactly why this was the favourite picnic spot for many.

As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw the silhouettes of both humans and martians gathered in there. It was a round cave-like crater with a big hole on top. And now, everyone's eyes were fixed on that opening.

And right on cue, the Earth came into view. Magnificent streams of blue, green, red, and yellow lights illuminated the crater.

"Earthrise!" The crowd cheered as one.

He didn't join the cheer, but kept admiring the view in front of him.

When he was on Earth, he had seen the fabled northern lights and the many other wonders of it. But this, right now, had to be the most beautiful view in the entire universe.
