Jahzara was still waiting for her aunt to come pick her up in the office. She figured she must be close by, so she wasn't worried.
"Your aunt is here, Jahzara." The principal said as he opened the door
Jahzara got out of her seat and walked into the hallway, making her way to the exit.
The students were in their passing period, getting ready for 5th period. The students were mumbling about Jahzara when she walked past them. She assumed the video had gotten around. She didn't really care, so she shrugged it off.
"Ain't that the girl who beat Allison ass?"
"Yeah, she's the nice girl too. It's always the nice ones who fight the best."
"Remind me not to mess with her."
"Zara!" Jahzara heard Avana shout while she, Yamara and Jacoby were walking towards the girl
"We heard you got into a fight." Avana said as the approached the girl
"Since when you fight girl?" Jacoby asked
"You suppose to be the nice one Zara. What happened?" Yamara asked
"Yeah I was in a fight. That Allison bitch made me mad and she was messing with Carmén." Jahzara said
"Damn, girl. I ain't know you could get like that." Jacoby said
"She messing with her so I had to do something. Her ass was being racist too." Jahzara said rolling her eyes
"How long you got suspended for?" Yamara asked
"2 weeks." Jahzara said
"2 weeks?! What did you do?" Avana said in a shocked tone
"I beat her face in." Jahzara said nonchalantly
"Well we gone be bored without you. Can we come over tomorrow?" Yamara asked
"Nah, I'm going somewhere." Jahzara said
"Where? You suspended, nigga." Jacoby said
"Carmén's house." Jahzara said
"You always hanging out with her. You don't love us no more." Avana said jokingly
"Yes I do. I hang out with yall on the weekends." Jahzara said
"I was just kidding. So how bout Thursday?" Avana asked
"I'm hanging with her for her three days. So let's just hang out on the weekend." Jahzara offered
"Alright, we gotta go." Avana said
"Bye guys." Jahzara said with a smile before she turned for the exit
Jahzara made it outside and spotted her aunt's car and made her way to her.
"Hola, tia. Sorry to keep you waiting. My friends stopped me in the hallway." Jahzara said as she sat down in the car
(Hi auntie.)
"Jahzara, you got into a fight?!" Her aunt shouted
"Sí, but I did it for a reason." Jahzara said after sighing not wanting to have this conversation again
