chapter 20

I jumped out of my bed and grabbed him by the arms shaking him, "What!? No! You can't kill someone!"

"Lena he's the reason we don't have an older brother anymore! He deserves to suffer!"

"Exactly he should suffer! Not die! You'd hate yourself! I know... that a part of you... still loves him," I took a deep breath, "We will go meet him, just promise me you won't touch him."

"Fine," He moaned, "Promise me Anton!"

"I promise! Gosh!"

I put on a jumper and ugg boots and we climbed down my ladder.

It was dead silent while we walked there. All I heard was leaves being crumbled at our feet. I thought I'd break the awkward silence, "What do you think he wants to talk about?" I asked Anton.

"I honestly have no clue."

"What if his gang is there? What if he's lying to both of us and he really did do it!?"

"I wouldn't be surprised." His answer was blunt. Like it didn't matter. Well it did to me, and if Talen did really murder my brother... I don't know how my life will be. And how would Anton react to that? He probably would kill Talen, even though he promised me he wouldn't. I could tell how angry he was inside and he needed to let it all out, he still can't go kill someone, take a life. He'd regret it and have to hold it with him for the rest of his. I'm scared of what is going to happen.

**************************

We were just around the corner from Lyndon Court. Anton stopped walking, a gave him a look saying 'whats wrong?'

"Whatever happens, I love you, you're my baby sis Lenny." He gave me the biggest hug ever, a tear came to my eye, "I love you too Anty."

I took his hand and he walked into Lyndon. There he was, sitting on a broken bench looking gorgeous as always, but with a crooked nose.

"Thanks for coming," He stood up and looked up me, I know he wasn't surprised to see me, but I couldn't read his face.

"Why are we here?" Anton asked.

"I want you to know the truth, I had nothing to do with Jonathan's murder."

I snapped, "Then spit it out Cruz, I've had enough of this bullshit."

"This is the only chance you get to speak, so spill." Anton backed me up one hundred percent.

"I became a Troyal just after my sixteenth birthday. They forced me into becoming one of them because I was the closest person to your family. They recruited me to find lets say... evidence of why Jonathan rejected them---"

"Because he became a Bayan." I finished his sentence. Anton was steaming, ready to rip his head off, "Why did you become one of them? You didn't have to join!"

"Yes I did Anton! They threatened me! Threatened you! They kill for amusement. I didn't want to loose you, or my family. Just look at this from my point of view! You've been my brother since we we're babies, I would never ever want to hurt you. After everything we've been through together you think I would just turn around and murder your brother?"

"The Troyals did it and you're a Troyal!" Anton slowly started creeping towards Talen, I grabbed his arm, "Just listen to him," I sobbed.

"They wanted Jonathan so bad, they'd be so power. It's crazy to think that someone could get inside your head, but Jonathan could. All they are are greedy dick heads that want money and girls, I'm not like that. You know me Lena, what we have isn't a lie."

"Don't bring her into this!"

"It's true Anton! I do love her more than anything in this world." He took a breath, "I'm not going to be a Troyal anymore. Even if that means they're going to kill me."

No one spoke for a minute. Just awkward silence. Until I had an idea...

"Not if we kill them first."

"Lena are you crazy? We can't kill people! How many of them are there anyway?" He turned to look at Talen.

"Twenty-ish." He replied.

"Okay Lena lets go kill Twenty people." Anton shook me off his arm and took a couple of steps away from me.

"Okay so maybe that's insane, but can't we tell the police the truth!?"

"Sure. If you want to die." Talen said sarcastically.

"So what's going to happen to you then?" Anton looked at Talen, both of them staring at each other.

"I don't know. But I do know I'm not going to follow them or not. Believe me or don't be I am telling the truth."

"I know you are." Anton said with a relief.

"Whaa? How do you know he's not lying?" I asked Talen.

"He clenches his fists when he lies. But I still don't forgive you. For giving them information about Jonathan. How could you do that to us? Even under the pressure. Why couldn't you tell them you found nothing?"

Talen opened his mouth to reply, but he was looking behind us, I could see a bright light getting bigger and bigger. "Guys run! They're here!"

We all started running into the woods. We've never been in there and don't know our way around. We could here people yelling, "Get them! They're that way!"

I wasn't as fast as Anton and Talen but they both started to push me faster but it was to late, I slowed them down. I felt a hand grab my foot, "ANTON!"

I turned around to see all these bodies covered in ski masks. The man the grabbed my foot picked me up and started to dragging me out of the woods, I fought so hard to get away but it was no use. Anton and Talen we're being held back by all these guys screaming for me, "LENA! IT'LL BE OKAY! I'LL FIND YOU!" Anton's face streamed with tears, "WE'LL FIND YOU LENA! I PROMISE!" They both got thrown to the ground and started to get kicked, I screamed out for the men to stop but soon someone put a bag over my head and tied my legs and arms up.

Thrown into the back of the truck I gasped for air. Crying, as I felt the car drive away.
