"Baby, I got you a gift." Hailee says.
"What is it?" I ask.
Hailee puts a box on the counter and I open it. I see a picture frame of my mom and I smile.
"I've never seen this picture before. How'd you get this?" I ask.
"You said you had her iCloud email and password but couldn't get in without verification. I contacted Apple and got them to send the verification to your phone now." Hailee says.
"Thank you so much." I say.
"Press the button on the back." Hailee says.
I feel for a button on the back and press it.
"Now push that little square down there and see if you did it right." A voice says.
"Mark come take this picture." Mom says.
Dad groans and he grabs mom's phone. Mom poses and he presses a button.
"Now push that little square down there and see if you did it right." She says.
"Damnnit! I took a video." He says as I laugh.
Tears fill my eyes and I hug Hailee.
"You don't understand how much this means. Thank you so much." I say as she rubs my back.
Hailee smiles and kisses my forehead.
The fact Hailee went through that long process just to get into my mom's iCloud account, find this video, print a picture, and get the audio put in the picture frame... I've never had something done for me like this.
"Marry me." I say.
"What?" She asks.
"I want you to marry me." I say.
"Baby, it's only been 3 months." She says laughing.
"Just wear the ring and we'll get married whenever. I just need to tie you down now." I say.
"This was all it took for you to ask me to marry you?" She asks.
"There's so many more things but this is what's pushing me." I say.
"Marry you?" She asks.
"Yes." I say.
"Okay, Y/n. I'll marry you." Hailee says.
I smile and kiss her.
"I love you." She says.
"I love you too." I say.
Time Skip
"What's this?" Hailee asks as I hand her a small jewelry box.
"Open it." I say.
Hailee opens it and widens her eyes.
"Baby, this is beautiful. Where did you get this? More importantly, how much did it cost?" Hailee says.
"Don't worry about it." I say.
I put the ring on her finger and she smiles.
"We have to send him away tonight." Hailee says quietly.
"Why?" I ask.
"Y/n." Hailee says.
"Oh. Okay." I say as she wraps her arms around my neck.
She smiles and I kiss her.
"You gonna try not to blackout this time?" She asks.
"You knew?" I ask.
