I forgot how your lips felt like
When our kiss was filed
In the history
Of Us
Yesterday was just like a memory
When our lips spoke things
That started the war
On the history
Of Us
They never did hold anything new
When our lips were sewed shut
That caused the pause
And distance
In our history
Of Us
It was when we knew that it won't work
When our lips only felt like yesterday
And today was nothing different,
More of nostalgia, and the lingering dread,
There was never a destiny,
Never a fated meeting,
Or happenstance in a happy ending,
In this history;
Because all we knew was kissing,
And our lips forgot to tell
The words, the actions, the paragraphs, of the history of Us
