I was sat at my desk, working on my maths homework that was due the next day, it was about midnight and I was on the verge of tears as I still was struggling with my homework
"You almost done?"
Vance asked, he was sat on my bed reading a comic book of some sort, I sighed as I rested my head on the table
"I'm guessing that's a no"
He said, I heard my bed creek as he stood up off it, his footsteps inching towards me
"Need some help, doll?"
He asked as he sat down on his knees next to my chair
"What are you doing?"
He asked me. I turned my head that was still lay on the desk, looking vsnce in the eyes
"Algebra"
I replied. Me and Vance usually do our homework together but he somehow finished quicker than me but I was too scared to ask for help
"Jesus, y/n I've been through this like a million times"
He chuckled, but yet still grabbed my pen from out of my hand, scribbling numbers and math signs on the paper
"So if your trying to do this one you just have to you just have to add that bit and then add that bit too because you have to do the same to both of the sides"
He explained as he wrote down messy notes for me along the paper
"But what about this bit?"
I ask, pointing at the letter at the end of the number
"Nothing, just pretend that it's not there and divide the number by its self and-
I cut him off
"And do the same to the other side, I got it"
I say, he looked at me and smiled. I smiled back as i leaned in for a kiss, only for him to push me away
"Maths home work first"
He said as he smirked at me and handed me my pen back
