Chapter 2

Three years later I've gained more than enough info on Silco and now I was just waiting for the right time to strike. I was busy testing out my new grenades again but this time instead of gasses, these uses nails to kill the victim. I heard that one of Vander's new children also has a tendency to build grenades, but she has yet to figure out why they don't work. I decided to go to her since rumor has it her sister and brothers left her alone today. I went to the Last Drop's backdoor before going down a flight of stairs and into the room to see her sitting on a bed and crying until she saw me "who are you?" She asked and I came closer "I'm nobody" I said and she looked terrified "please don't hurt me" she said and I laughed "you have nothing to fear Powder. If I wanted to hurt you, you'd be dead already" I said and she sighed "what do you want?" She asked "your grenades" I said and she looked at the grenades hanging by the bed "they don't work" she said and I sat down next to her "they will. Mind if I take a couple of them?" I asked showing her a few coins "sure" she said taking the coins and giving me a few grenades "these two are filled with nails and those are smoke bombs" she said and I nod my head "thanks Powder" I said "how do you know my name?" She asked and instead of answering I smiled before leaving and going back to my hideout. I put her grenades on the table and went to work on figuring out why they don't work and after about 10 minutes I've had a breakthrough. It appears that she's not using the right components for the build-up of her grenades. I quickly disassembled it and reassembled the grenades before putting them in my bag. Since I need new test subjects, I decided to go back to Piltover and find some new ones. I found a couple of strangers sometime later and promised them wealth like I always do until they were in my house and the doors locked behind them as I dragged them all to my basement and to a cell. Don't get me wrong if anyone actually finds out what I do down here I'll probably be executed on sight so that's why I had this room soundproofed and an extremely complicated lock on the door which only I can open "so I have some new grenades. Who wants to find out if they work?" I ask and point to a chair as someone knocked on the door upstairs "keep quiet and maybe some of you might live through the day" I said and went upstairs but as soon as I opened the door the people started shouting. A wasted effort since I put an enchantment on the room too "nobody can hear you even if you shout thanks to this" I said showing them my magical necklace 

I saw some of their faces fell "oh what you thought I wouldn't have thought of everything in here?" I asked with a laugh and threw one of the new nail grenades in the room before closing the door to go see who's at the front door. When I opened it, a few enforcers were standing in the door way "yes?" I asked "we need you to come with us to the Academy" one of them said "regarding?" I asked and they looked at each other before looking back at me "that's private business ma'am" the enforcer said and I shrugged and went with them to the Academy. When we arrived, I was escorted to the meeting room with no idea what to expect. When I got there, I was escorted to the middle of the table and everyone looked at me "what is the meaning of this? I was in the middle of something" I said and everyone looked at Heimerdinger to continue "we wanted to know if you want to become a student at the Academy. With your knowledge, you will be a great benefit to our city" he said and I rolled my eyes "seriously? That's why I was dragged away from my home? To be a puppet in this rathole of a city? Well let me make this as clear as possible, I am not interested in sharing my knowledge with anyone else. I'm quite content in keeping it for myself" I said and walked out of the building. A few days later I was busy reading one of my favourite novels when all of a sudden there was a loud noise that sounded like an explosion before I saw the Kirraman's workshop fall in and a few kids running away from the scene. I sighed before turning into a phoenix and flying after them. After about twenty minutes they were at the docs where some kids who work for Silco were told to keep an eye on them. Some words were said and they ended up fighting over a bag of goods that the kids stole from the workshop before the bag was thrown at Powder who ran away with it with one of the boys hot on her trail. She hid around the corner at the docs while he was about to walk in the other direction but she knocked over a few planks and the boy turned around. She quickly got out one of her grenades before opening a can of nails and throwing it in the can before closing it "come on Mouser, I need you" she said before throwing it at the boy's feet and we all waited in anticipation but the only thing that came out was pink smoke. The boy laughed before coming closer to Powder and I took that as my chance to show myself. I flew down and quickly scared the boy away before grabbing the bag that Powder was holding and throwing it in the river as she ran away. I quickly flew back to my hideout in the Undercity before I transformed back to my normal self and quickly got a pair of clothes on. That's the only thing I hate about being a phoenix. My clothes never last. Not that it's any problem I can always go buy me some new clothes but still... 

When I was finished, I went to the Last Drop to go have a drink and think about what I'm going to do about my little situation "can I get you anything?" The waiter asked "whiskey and make it snappy" I said as he ran to the bar.
