Lambert wakes to lips on the back of his neck and a hard prick nudging between his cheeks. He grunts and lifts his head a bit to glance towards the window, ignoring the cranky sound of protest from the warm body behind him as the arm around Lambert's waist curls in further, pulling him back against a toned chest as if to say, no, you stay right where you are.

It's still early, and Lambert can just barely glimpse the golden sun rising between the snowy tips of the blue mountains, bathing everything in a warm glow. He's been noticing changes these past days; the sun rises earlier and stretches on for long hours in the evening, reluctant to give way to the few remaining nights that winter has to offer. Spring is creeping upon them fast now, and soon the snows will give way to delicate shoots and green buds, filling the air with the damp earthy smell of new growth. Vesemir has noticed the changes too and he's halted morning training, knowing that his Wolves will need these final days of rest before they return to a harsh year on the path.

This winter has felt seemingly endless amid all that's happened. Part of Lambert wishes that the season could stretch on forever despite his loathing for the cold. Then he could remain here and appreciate the quiet moments he's regained with Aiden. Quiet moments that felt like they'd been lost a lifetime ago.

He has yet to talk to the Cat about what they'll do when winter ends. The two of them have grown close again, but Aiden still isn't the same as he once was, and Lambert is not so naive as to believe that his recovery is over. No, knowing Aiden the hardest part will be coming to terms with what has changed once they leave the timeless bubble of Kaer Morhen behind.

Of course, he wants Aiden to go with him-- Lambert was always happiest when they were together and he longs to have Aiden by his side like before-- but the Cat is still struggling with the loss of his eye, and Lambert worries that any invitation to travel together will be taken as an insult, as Lambert attempting to coddle him. Which, of course, isn't the case at all.

Lambert is simply a man in love.

Lambert shifts further so that he can get a look at his bedmate. A warm fluttery feeling settles in his chest as he takes in the sight. Aiden looks handsome all the time, but Lambert has always found him particularly serene when asleep. He carries a certain calm that he never has otherwise-- the slight tension in his jaw relaxes, his ever-expressive face remaining vacant rather than in its usual animated state.

Right now, however, Aiden is somewhere between sleep and waking, and he makes a soft unintelligible noise that holds a clear note of displeasure at Lambert's movement. The arm around him tightens further and Lambert is soon pulled until he's plastered against the other man. Aiden sighs and tucks his face into the crook of Lambert's neck, mouthing blindly at the purple marks he left the night before as his hips rock against the curve of Lambert's ass, letting the Wolf feel the prominent heat of his morning wood.

"Mmm, Lam..." Aiden's voice is heavy with the slur of sleep as he rocks his hips again, mouthing wetly against Lambert's neck.

Ah, so it's one of those dreams again. Well, Lambert didn't have any particular plans for an encounter this morning, but then again, Aiden does like to keep him on his toes. And it's not like he's gonna say no.

"Lambs...so pretty. S' good...Mmm, good pup."

Lambert breathes a laugh, letting a toothy smile spread across his face, groggy and carefree. Even in his sleep Aiden is telling him sweet words. He carefully wiggles an arm free from Aiden's cage of limbs, bringing it up to card through the other man's hair. He smiles even wider as Aiden begins to purr, slowly waking from his slumber.
