When I woke up he wasn't with me in my bed, if the pendant around wasn't there I would have said that it was a dream but no he was there. I checked my phone to see his message.
'Good Morning kitten' it read which was enough to bring a wide smile to my face. I greeted him back as I went to take a bath. I dressed in the new green dress that Noah bought for me.
As I walked out I saw both my brothers in the kitchen. Noah was sitting on the table sipping his black coffee and reading him emails. And Caleb was making breakfast for us. They both took off today from work but I am sure Noah is going to work from home.
"Good morning!" I greeted and hugged both of them.
"What are you making?" I asked as stood beside Caleb who was making French crepes.
"Wow it smells divine," I said and he smiled as he set our plates. I sat on the table and looked up when I felt Noah's gaze on me, well on my pendant. I squirmed nervously for a second but thankfully he didn't ask about it.
"Nice pendant!" He only said and then gazed at me intensely.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you want to tell us something?" He asked and my breath hitched for a second. I wanted to say yes but I shake my head no.
"No," I said and dig into my breakfast as Caleb sat beside me giving both of us a confusing look. Then Noah went back to what he was doing and I sighed. That was close!
After breakfast, we went out, and we spend most of the day out. First, we went to a fair close to the town. I enjoyed it there and I saw Hunter there. He was following us when I texted him why is he there. He said he told me that he wanted to spend my birthday with me. I was scared! What if Caleb or Noah see him following us?
But he assured me that he is well hidden, and after a lot of insistence he left. I don't know but Noah was quiet all this time. Lily came with us as we watch a movie, and then we had dinner. We came back late at night after eating ice cream.
When I came into my room, I shrieked but a hand muffled my voice.
"It's me," he said and I glared at him. He then moved his hand away and smirked at me.
"You scared me" I hissed at him.
"And what were you thinking following me today? What if Noah or Caleb would have noticed you? You don't know my brothers they would have been beaten to a pulp" I told him and he scoffs playfully.
"And you think I would let them beat me?" He asked as he sat on my bed and I looked at him.
"You mean you would hit them back?" I asked with wide eyes. He turns serious, his smile gone.
"I am a fighter kitten what do you expect? It's in my instinct to defend myself." He shrugged but I didn't like it.
"No! You would never hurt my brothers under any circumstance" I said firmly as I stepped towards him. His lips remain sealed and I glared hard at him.
"Promise me!" I said and this made him sigh as he nodded.
"Okay I promise," he said and I sighed.
"What if they hurt me?" He asked with a small frown.
"I... I.. they won't... I won't let them hurt you either" I said, I know my brothers will not like him but I won't let them hurt him either.
He smiled sadly as if not believing me.
"You will always choose them over me" he mumbled almost to himself and I couldn't say anything. I love my brothers so much, they will always come first. But I love Hunter too, I don't think I can ever live without him. But if my brothers told me to stay away from him, what will I do? Would I leave him?
