P.S This poem is about admiring someone who is too hard on herself. It's also inspired by the concept that when you're loved, you're able to truly see yourself through the ones of the one who loves you. But what if no one loves you?

She sat barefoot on the floor,
her broken dreams scattered around her.
I understood her desire to be more,
but could not confess that she was enough.

Call it kalopsia, but she was still blossoming before me.
Only, the sight of her forlorn figure overwhelmed me;
She could not look into a pair of loving eyes, and see her robust faith and physique, least her own.

And mine? They were not worthy of her lovely gaze.
