Chapter Ten

The loudness of Ni-ki's scream did not go unnoticed, making me open the door once again after hearing Jimin called to ask what was the problem.

I look up to the problem with a deadpan expression, "Surely, you did that on purpose", I say.

Ni-ki's face drop and he lifts his foot off the door's reach, giving me an apologetic smile, "You didn't even get worried", He admits, making me snort out a laugh.

This manages to make him smile a little, for real.

"Not gonna lie, I was kinda hoping for you to ask if I'm fine. Don't get me wrong but a guy can hope that you could've been nicer"

And there we go. One little rare chance of a good moment between the two of us is over. He just had to point out how much of a brat I was to him.

"And goodbye", I say, trying to shut the door.

"Aww, come on, Jade. Don't be like that", He replies, holding the door open with one hand.

I pull as hard as I can, but he was literally blocking the door now from closing with his whole body. He make it look so effortless.

"Fine, what do you want, Nishimura?", I snap, letting him enter fully.

He smiles, "What about my invitation?"

I immediately realized it as the one in his message about giving me a ride to school.

"I ready said no", I tell him, shaking my head.

"Huh? But Sunoo hyung said you'll say yes", He hums, making me grimace at the name.

"Well, he isn't here, so go now"

"You obviously want to go with me in my car", He says, tilting his head and making a chunk of hair fall over his face.

"Hey Princess, who is this?", Jimin came over, pulling me to his side with a peeking Jungkook behind him.

Ah great. Here comes one of the great guard of Park Jiyoo.

"I'm Nishimura Riki, I live right next door", Ni-ki says, giving my brother a genuine looking smile and offering his hand.

Is this son of a bitch trying to get on Jimin's good side?

Jimin, always the most polite of us, shakes his hand, "Park Jimin, nice to meet you, Riki", he says, almost too kindly.

"I was just talking to Jade here about how I noticed the twins left early. I go to her school as well and it'd be no trouble to bring her with me, if you'll be comfortable with that, of course", Ni-ki says, a charming smile on his face.

I fight to not make a snide. He's so polite and it was just one of the little things Jimin liked a lot from the other people my age.

Which in his words, I was not.

"So you're the guy she was complaining about?", Jimin asked, making me gape in horror to see his smile on Ni-ki.

"I guess you could say that, but maybe she was twisting my actions in her own words, Sir", Ni-ki says, putting his hands in his pockets.

"I don't see that, but explain"

"I think I may come out as rude towards her when my only intention is to be her friend. Look, I was actually coming over to get her at school and to invite you all for a dinner at our house, as an apology and also as a welcome from my family as our new neighbors", He tells Jimin, kind of looking shy.

Why is he so convincing?

Jimin looks like he is about to burst in sunshine and smiles at the invitation, "I thank you. We'd love to come over for dinner"
