The whole week, you felt terrible. You were sick, no doubt, but your parents could care less. It seemed the only time they were at the house was in the morning and on weekends. You walked home slowly, the heat eating you alive. As soon as you got home, you went up to your room, got changed, and collapsed on your bed. Your headache was killing you. An hour later, Suddenly, you heard a knock on your door.

-----
(Your POV)
I sat up, who was at the door? Certainly not my parents. They are out partying, like they do everyday. I walked down the stairs sluggishly, tired out of my mind. Opening the door, I see Hortensia. My eyes drifted to the basket in her hands. It had a thermometer, a rag, medicine, and a container. I immediately fixed my posture and smiled nervously, then I questioned,

<<Hortensia! What're you doing here?>>

I leaned on the doorway, trying not to seem tired.

<<It's obvious you're sick, love. I know your parents aren't usually around, so I brought some stuff.>>

I looked down at the nasty, menacing medicine in the basket.

<<I'm fine, Buckets! Really!>>

She looked at me, glancing me up and down, before pushing me aside lightly and walking in. I sighed, then closed the door behind her and turned around. She took her shoes off and ushered me upstairs.

<<I'm walking, damn!>>

She laughed lightly and shut the door behind us.

<<Lay down.>>

I did as she said and laid on my bed. She took my temperature and put a cold rag on my forehead.

<<I brought your favorite soup. Eat.>>

She held a spoon with cold soup in it up to my mouth.

<<I'm not hungry.>>

<<Fine, don't have it.>>

She said, backing away and packing up.

<<Wait! Stay with me? Pleasee?>>

She left the room with the soup, soon coming back with it slightly steaming.

<<You didn't need t->>

<<Just shut up and eat.>>

She chuckled and brought the soup up to your mouth, once again. I ate it and after I swallowed, I asked,

<<Won't you get sick, Tensia?>>

<<It'll be worth it.>>

<<God, I love you.>>

I smiled at her care and ate the rest of the soup while talking to her. (girl you ate that 😍)

<<Time for medicine!>>

<<Hell no. I feel better! Please!>>

By the time the sun was about to set, I felt better in Hortensia's company and care. We stared out the window at the sunset together and talked until we were too tired to form words. She collapsed on my bed and we cuddled until dawn, when she had to sneak home. I smiled to myself and fell asleep. Man, I got lucky.
