we arrive at the studio and i'm so excited to have Maddie back permanently because it's been weird without her
"Maddie you're back! are you excited that you're back?" JoJo asks
"i'm excited to be back but i'm not excited for the stressful competitions" Maddie says
"you don't miss the drama" Kalani says
"yeah exactly" Maddie says
Abby comes in and we set up for pyramid
|Pyramid| "last week we found you in your pyjamas not ready for pyramid this week we find you ready to go.is it because Maddies back?" Jess asks
"no." Abby says
"you told me you didn't have the passion and i'm not interested anymore has that changed" Holly asks
"do i have the passion to teach dance to choreograph to create? absolutely, that is my passion it's not about quitting because i'm afraid of hurting i'm not" Abby says
"then Abby what is it about? all those times you didn't want to be here all those times you didn't want the kids to be here you didn't want to do it you didn't want to show..what is it about?" Jill asks
"it's finical issues i think all you kids respect that and you know that it's the way it is." Abby says
"okay congratulations girls it was a very successful trip to Arizona, Maddie you're back"
we cheer for Maddie
"you were doing a movie you were a winner up until that point when you came back and went and came back and went you didn't win you need to get into the groove and be my number one girl with Kayla out there every week again, understand that?"
"yes" Maddie nods
"alright." Abby says
"did you see her do Ellen? did you see the video?" mom asks
"i didn't.." Abby says
"i sent it to you." mom says
"i'm just busy i'm doing other stuff." Abby says
"pyramid, on the bottom of the pyramid we have JoJo, Nia, Maddie and Mackenzie"
"in the group dance you all really pulled it down a notch"
"and next up Kendall, you did we,l to me it looked like you loved the dance and you loved what you were doing"
"next we have Kayla, for the past weeks you've been my number one without Maddie are you going to continue to be better or are you gonna let her pass you up?"
i hesitate before answering
"be better." i say
"let's see." Abby says
"and then we have Brynn, regardless of what the judges thought you were beautiful to look at you were a good representative of The Abby Lee Dance Company"
"and on top of the pyramid our overall highscore winner who did not any of her mothers actions or words phase her whatsoever Kalani."
