we arrive at the studio and we start stretching

"isn't weird how like Kalani isn't here?" Nia asks

"after we danced she was crying with us backstage she was the one telling us it's probably be the last dance she was ever going to do with us." Kendall says

"what even happened last week?" i ask

"Abby and Kira had this big fight..like huge fight." Maddie says

"oh." i say

"okay guys just set your stuff down there and we'll start to warm up" Gia says as we walk in
the moms then come in

"so what is going on?" Jill asks

"well i'm just warming them up now" Gia says

"have you spoken with Abby?" Jill asks

Gia shakes her head

"do you know where we are going?" Jill asks

"we're going to Sheer Talent in westminster, i know it's solo week so everyone has a solo" Gia says

"oh my gosh" mom says

"and there's no group" Gia adds

the moms leave

"i think what we're doing this week is giving you guys solos completely across the board completely different to get you guys ready for nationals so Abby can really see who can step up to the plate." Gia says

"and is this gonna determine who has solos at nationals?" Kendall asks

"we're all kinda across the boarder at the minute like everyone's placing all over the place so she's going to be looking for if you have what it takes to do a solo at nationals" Gia says

"i've never had a solo at nationals." Nia says

"you need to show her that you need a solo at nationals..also we could more than one winner this week if we cover three age divisions we need to have three first overalls." Gia says

"right." we say

"so i don't know if you guys know this but i'm doing a performance with kids bop this saturday is when the competition is but i just thought i'd tell you that i do have that saturday." JoJo says

"well congratulations" Kenzie says

"thank you boo." JoJo says

"i'm gonna start with Maddie." Gia says

Maddie does her solo rehearsal and so does a couple other girls

"okay so Kayla this is your first solo in months and you need to show Abby that you can go out and nail it and win" Gia says

i nod

we learn my solo and it's a pretty lyrical and i love it, it's to the song The One That Got Away by Alice Kristiansen

it has all the turns and it's so good it feels amazing to get back to doing a solo

"sharp!" Gia calls

i make everything tight and and i end on the floor

"well done work on that." Gia says

i nod

we get called into the rehearsal room by producers and we walk in
