TITLE

The chosen title, "It's A Crazy World, Isn't It?" is an apt and fitting match for the content and tone of the book.

The choice to use a question and a contraction to address the reader directly through the title is a clever touch, given that the book is entirely written in the second person point of view.

Though I love the title, I really do, I think that it may not suit the individual stories as well as it could have.

Within the book, love takes on many forms — from the enduring bond between siblings to the destructive power of abusive relationships.

However, the title fails a bit to capture the essence of this heart-wrenching and loving journey for the characters and not just the tragic side of it.

The blurb offers a captivating insight into how some writers and readers use the portrayal of love in literature as a coping mechanism or choose to retreat into an imaginary world.

This sets the stage for what promises to be a unique collection of realistic fiction stories.

Unique in the sense that it focuses on Nigerian individuals and their definitions of love, thus offering a glimpse into a culture that is often underrepresented in literature.

Even though it can be challenging for readers to delve into unfamiliar topics, I appreciate the approach taken by the author to illustrate Nigerian traditions and societal issues, all through the lens of the characters' experiences.

As a result, readers will undoubtedly be able to relate to the characters on some level, since their emotions and feelings are universal.

PLOT

I can confidently state that the short stories contained within this collection are among the finest works of realistic fiction I have encountered in a long time.

However, I do have a few issues that I'd like to address.

When delving into a collection of short stories, it's essential for the stories to not only be individually captivating but also to form a cohesive whole, which leaves a lasting impact on the reader.
