"-Mum? Dad, what's going on?? Iraka?"

I looked at the magenta-pink spirit to my left, who had tears in her eyes as she stared at the massacre from the shadows. I couldn't comprehend what was happening. A human held a golden ring with a red crystal inside. Inside that crystal was where our mum was. The chants scared me. It was like the sound was closing in and trapping me in my own bubble of sanity. I peeked out from around the rock, and stared at the humans shouting,

"ALTAAQAT ALATI 'ULQIHA TAKMUN FI 'AEMAQI, YAJIB 'AN TAMUT AL'ARWAH WALSHATAYIM WATAKHTABI. QAD TAKUN MHASRAN FI SIJN SHIRIYR, FALAN YASUD WUJUDUK ALSHABAHIU BAED ALAN. HADHIH ALLAHZAT ALATI YATIMU NAFIK FIHA, 'ADEU ALLAH 'AN TAKUN QAD FAKARAT FI HAYAATIK, 'ULQIT BIHADHIH ALTAEWIDHAT LI'ASRUKH EALAYK BIS ALMASIRA."

It was in Arabic, I could tell. It indirectly translated into English, saying:

"May thou energy casted, lay deep inside, spirits and curses must die and hide.
May you be trapped in a wicked jail, your ghostly presence will no longer prevail.
This moment thou art banished, I pray you thought life through,
I cast this spell to shriek good riddance unto you."

By the time I was done translating the magic spell through my head, dad was already gone. I wailed.

Both of my parents were gone. Humans did that. What did we do to them? Absolutely nothing.

I was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and dragged away. Letting out a yelp of surprise, Iraka dragged me up into the sky where we wouldn't be able to be seen well. Tears still streamed down my face like waterfalls, and they wouldn't stop.

Hm. I'll call it waterfall syndrome. Something tells me I'll need that in the future.

Iraka grabbed me by the shoulders. I stared into her white and yellow eyes. She was sobbing and scared just as much as I was even though she was four years older than me. I didn't think it was possible for her to get scared like that. She cried out through the tears,

"It'll be okay. I promise."

Humans were starting to notice us from the ground. That- thing- was being aimed towards us again.

"How do you know that?"

"We can see into the future, remember?"

"Yeah but only two-hundred years-"

"We'll be fine as long as we stick together."

My fear suddenly turned into serenity. I felt safe now. I wiped my eyes clear of tears, and agreed,

"Okay."

He looked at me with loving eyes, and asked,

"Hey, honey, do you mind getting some more iced tea? It looks like we only have one more."

"Sure thing, Cap!"

"Bye, Mom!"

Me; my daughter, Isabella; my husband, Caplinik; and my sister, Iraka, decided to stay the weekend in a forest somewhere in Canada. Caplinik did invite some of our other friends, but they already had plans. Usually they're never busy.

I started off gliding through the barren trees, racking through my memory to remember where the nearest stream was located. The three of us passed one on the way, so if I took the same route we came, then it was only a matter of time until I came across it once again. I breathed in and out, letting the fridgid, smokey air fill me and refresh my senses.
