Alex is now at his home and resting on his bed, he is scrolling on his phone when he hears a faint heartbeat, he looked around for the origin of the sound but to no avail, he was already getting nervous as the sound was getting slightly louder.

'Are you kidding me?! First a headache now this..' Alex said to himself before darting out of the room because he couldn't take it anymore.

"Maybe I should go for a walk to clear my mind, it's going all over the place.."

Alex then put on a shirt and jeans and went out on the sidewalk, as he's walking he passes by some old friends whom which he remembers but they don't which make Alex quite disappointed, mainly because he thinks they're bad friends because they can't remember him after 9 years, he then passes by the same familiar person but this time, Alex feels a weird sensation when passing by, the same feeling he felt when he heard those heartbeats. So he tried to confront him.

"Hey."

"..."

"I'm talking to you, hello?"

"..."

Alex isn't used to being ignored but decides to just walk away and forget about it-

"Stay here."

"Huh?"

'Well that's new.. I guess.' Alex said to himself before walking back, he felt like he was in an empty city even though there are people walking and driving around.

"Sooo, what do yo-"

"I know you're trying to figure out why people are going missing everyday, and I have the answer for that."

Alex straight off the bat already didn't believe him but he followed along.

"What do you mean by that?"

The person then let out a big sigh and then said,

"Follow me, I have something to show you, detective."

"I don't trust you.."

"Everybody says that but they always succumb."

Alex was a bit confused and asking himself 'Everybody? He asks this to people like it's a normal thing?!'

"So, are you following or not?"

"I'll think about it."

"OK, I'll give you a day." then he walked away then turned a corner and disappeared. Alex decides to continue his walk but just an hour later, he hears the same faint heartbeat but this time, it felt stronger and closer to him.

"OKAY, WHERE IS THAT COMING FROM!"

He practically said that out loud but it was already loud outside due to the cars driving by so nobody heard him.

"It's just your head playing with you."

or... as he thought...

"AH- a- oh, its you again.. what are you doing here, I thought you left."

"Always listen to it, sometimes it can help you." he then gave a small smile after he said that then disappeared into the crowd.

"Wha- wh- huh? E-ex-excuse me?"

Alex just wants this to be over so he returns to his home which is really just an apartment in an apartment complex and throws himself on the couch for a nap.

A few hours later, he slowly opens his eyes to meet two glowing red lights, Alex was still on the couch but it felt fake, his head was telling him to go there, he was willing to but 'That's a horrible idea! Why did I even think of that!' he said to himself, so he stayed on the couch, he felt as the couch was his safe place, but the lights suddenly became slim and thin, looking directly at him.
