As stated, this is a fanfiction of the television series Into the Badlands, but you do not necessarily to be familiar with or need to have any prior knowledge about the series in order to understand and enjoy this fanfiction. I explain things in a way that readers will most likely understand regardless of how familiar they are with the series.
Though this would be better received if you are familiar with Into the Badlands, familiarity is not necessary.
To clarify, the present storyline of this book takes place in between the second and third seasons of Into the Badlands, during the six-month time gap that is mentioned at the beginning of the third season. It also continues on into the third season and slightly beyond.
