Chapter 13: Debut in progress

The sound of shoes clicking on the marble floor was heard and echoed throughout the enormous room.

"Are debuts always this empty?"

A shadow master questioned and another continued.

"We can't meet Lord Grandfather yet?"

Edward stands in front of the shadow masters and living dolls while putting both of his hands on the table.

"The living dolls may remove their veils, and you are free to speak."

And on cue the living dolls started pulling off their veils.

Edward continues.

"You are the candidates for today's debut."

Edward then moves the tiny or doll-like version of all the shadow masters in his hands to the shelf.

The formation was:

John, Shirley, Kate on the third shelf spot.

Louise, Patrick on the second shelf.

And one sat on the top is.

Edward thought to himself bitterly.

"Show me what you've got."

Edward sat down looking at all the shadow masters and living dolls as they all stood there confused.

"Umm..."

"Hmm?"

Emilico POV:

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒙𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐.

Shaun POV:

𝑾𝒆'𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒖𝒑.

But then suddenly,

" "Show me what you've got"? What does that even mean?!"

𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏!

The tension was growing but Edward remains smirking at the shadow master's outburst.

In the end, John left it alone and walked away.

Shaun was relieved to see his master not acting recklessly. He takes a sigh of relief.

Kate walks towards the food table.

"There's food here. Perhaps we should help ourselves. Kate shall have some tea to start."

They all look at Kate as she walks then Y/N follows with Doll trailing behind.
