chapter 3: Preporation

As everyone walked out of the building John stopped Samuel so the two brothers can speak "Samuel where will you be in this operation?" John asked worried about Samuel since he did leave him for dead on their first mission against the covenant "I've got an important meeting with the headmaster of Beacon academy." Samuel replied "if it's possible I can accompany you to-" before John could finish Samuel interrupted him "John I'll be fine, you don't have to worry."

"I know it's just..." John tried finding the right words to say to his brother who placed his hand on the war hero's armored shoulder "John if it's about our first mission against the covenant, then don't worry I'll be fine I'm just going to survey the area then I'll be back at base, you have my word John plus I'll be armed anyway." Samuel said showing John that he had an M6G magnum pistol holstered to his side

John nodded to Samuel who went to one of the warthogs in the base and John watched it drive off, John felt someone tap his back he turned around to see Jorge-052 behind him "don't worry, he'll be fine." The gentle giant of a spartan said to the war hero

John nodded to Jorge and the both of them went to the armory to prepare for the upcoming operation

Later, with Samuel, the sandy blond male was reading a book about 'The great war' on Remnant it depicted a lone soldier and his unit defending a high-value target from the joint Atlassian and Mystralian forces and how they had to rely on gorilla force tactics in order to hold the line against the joint forces when Samuel was halfway through the book he felt the warthog slow down Samuel looks up and saw an old friend

It was a human female with scarlet red eyes, red and black attire and black hair her pale white skin made her look like she was a ghost "hey Raven." Samuel greeted as he got out of the warthog "hey Sam." Raven replied

"You got my ride ready?" The blonde spartan asked "you see the car behind me don't you?" Raven replied as she pointed her thumb behind her revealing a red ÜBERCHASSIS civilian vehicle "an Überchassis, I heard Tai mentioned you having one, I guess I owe him 50." Samuel said with a chuckle, Raven looks at him "you mean to tell me that Tai, actually won a bet for once in his life?" She asks in disbelief

"Yup, he actually won a bet for once." Samuel said, Raven shook her head with a chuckle "come on you wanted a ride." she said, Samuel nodded and the two of them got in the car and Raven started driving

"So what's it this time, robbery? terror attack? Rouge?" Raven asked, "no it's none of them actually." Samuel replied, "then what's it this time?" The ex-bandit asked "winter contingency." Samuel said this caused the vehicle to accelerate faster "queens back?" Raven asked "Yeah, and she's got friends." Samuel replied

After 15 minutes of driving the two of them arrived at the city "Beacon academy right?" Raven asked "Yeah that's where Oz wanted to meet." Samuel said, the both of them seeing Beacon academy in the distance it grew closer and closer the more they drove towards it

Later at UNSC Firebase Bravo, John, Kilo team, Noble team and Green team were at the armory getting their weapons ready for their upcoming operation "So how's humanity doing back in our universe John?" Kurt asked loading his MA5K carbine John looks at Kurt and replies "there's a new spartan program, but the candidates are UNSC soldiers that volunteered for the program."

"So they decided on not kidnapping kids, well that's a surprise." Kurt said jokingly, this got a chuckle out of Jorge and Malcolm "well it's nice to know that they aren't useing children as experiments." Daniela-089 said as she walks up to the teams "Daniela." John said in suprise "I thought you-" before the war hero could finish Daniela stopped him and "committed suicide? yeah I did but now I'm here not as a soldier like you guys but hey I managed to get a lovable husband and adopted a daughter last year." Daniela said as she sits on one of the crates
