Date Night: Rose’s point of view

I was so excited. I have a date with Dimitri. I set up babysitters for the kids so Christian didn’t have to watch all the kids and tend to his new baby. Going into my bedroom, I opened my closet door and looked through my clothes. Since nothing caught my eye right now, I decided to take a shower. The hot water felt nice against my skin and even though I was nervous to actually be going on a date with my love, the water made me feel a little better.

Once out of the shower, I go through my closet again and notice a red dress. Actually, to be more specific, the dress I wore when I went to the dance with Mason. You know the one, I almost lost my V-card in. I decided to wear that and do my makeup and hair the exact same way I did it before.

Dimitri showed up promptly at seven and I about died when I looked at him. He was in an all black suit with his hair tied back, but as always there was one piece that didn’t stay back. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug. “You look way too tempting.”

I giggled and kissed his cheek. “And you, my badass Russian, look amazing.” He took my hand in his and we left together. Dimitri drove one handed and with his other hand he massaged my hand. After a while, I simply thread our fingers together and placed our entwined hands on my lap.

After half an hour of driving, he stopped the car. After getting out, he came to open my door. I took the hand he offered and was surprised when he pulled me right to his chest for a tight embrace. His amazing sent filled my nose and my senses fuzzed so I wasn’t aware of anything other than him. “Is it crazy that I’m nervous?” He whispered almost too quietly.

I suddenly realized his hands were shaking as they rested on my waist. I stroked his cheek lightly and moved his unruly stand of hair to behind his ear. “No,” I told him and let my fingers drift across his skin. “I’m nervous too.” Dimitri’s cheeks were tinted with a blush and I couldn’t help but smile at him. We stood close together for a few minutes. “Alright, let’s put the awkwardness behind us. You’re the father to my baby and we’ve known each other almost ten years.”

He chuckled softly and placed his hand on my cheek. “Alright,” he agreed and took my hand, leading me into the restaurant.

Our waiter was getting on Dimitri’s nerves. It was easy to see. Granted, the man kept flirting with me. Dimitri was balling and un-balling his hand. The next time the waiter came to the table, this time bringing our drinks, champagne for the both of us, he turned to me. “Don’t be afraid to smudge the glass with your red lipstick. Is the name of it sexy, by any chance?”

Dimitri glared and I decided to take things into my own hands. “Listen here, boy. Unless you want me to unattached a certain part of your anatomy, I suggest you stop hitting on me in front of my man. If you don’t then I’ll have to hurt you.” He gulped. “We’d like another waiter, preferably old.” I told him and sent him away. Once he was gone, I got up, walked around the table, and placed myself delicately in Dimitri’s lap. “I love you.”

He smiled at me. “Thank you and I love you, too.” He placed a light kiss on my lips and I went back to my seat.

Dimitri’s point of view:

I got myself showered and dressed before going to get Rose. My hands were shaking as I grabbed my car keys and headed for my Roza. I pulled up at the apartment building and went up to her place. When she answered the door in a little dress that hugged her body perfectly, I almost fainted. I noticed that she looked exactly like she did the night we almost lost control, but if it is possible she looked even sexier. I hugged her tightly and whispered in her ear. “You look way too tempting.”

She let out a girlish giggle and I felt her lips meet my cheek. “And you, my badass Russian, look amazing.” I took her soft hand in mine and took her to the car.  While I drove, Rose and I held hands. There was music playing in the background and we talked a little, but it was mostly a nice silence. When we reached the restaurant and I pulled her out of the car, I pulled her right into a hug.

Is it crazy that I’m nervous?” I asked her quietly. It was true. I was so nervous that I was still shaking.

Her hand moved from my waist and rested on my face. She moved a strand of hair out of my eyes and let her finger tips graze my skin. “No, I’m nervous too.”  I blushed. I had made her nervous. She smiled sweetly at me and we stood quietly for a few minutes. I was simply trying to calm down a little. Rose let out a giggle. “Alright, let’s put the awkwardness behind us. You’re the father to my baby and we’ve known each other almost ten years.”  She’s right, of course.

I had to laugh. Placing my hand on her face, I agreed with her and led her into the restaurant. The waiter we had wouldn’t stop flirting with Rose and I was getting edgier each time he came by our table for no reason just to talk to her. Rose looked at me and my hands that were fisted on the table as the man came back again.

“Don’t be afraid to smudge the glass with your red lipstick. Is the name of it sexy, by any chance?”  I wanted to rip his head off.

“Listen here, boy. Unless you want me to unattached a certain part of your anatomy, I suggest you stop hitting on me in front of my man. If you don’t then I’ll have to hurt you.” He gulped. “We’d like another waiter, preferably old.” My Roza spoke way too sweetly. Once he walked away, mumbling to himself about wanting to ‘tap her fine ass,’ Rose came to sit in my lap. “I love you.” She said sweetly.

I smiled at her. Leave it to my Roza to stand up to that man. “Thank you and I love you, too.” I kissed her sweetly and let her go back to her seat.

So will Rose invite Dimitri in for the night or kick him out? Was it romantic enough for those two?
