Rose's POV: Hoping to sleep in for a little bit today, I wasn't expecting Daniel to wake me up this morning and tell me to put on warm clothes because he was going to take me somewhere special for our second anniversary. After getting ready for the day, I looked out the window and saw that it had snowed during the night and it was still snowing lightly. Nothing that Daniel's truck couldn't handle. I got downstairs to see that Daniel was out at his truck clearing off the snow from it. I went into the kitchen to find something to make for breakfast. I ended up making eggs and bacon for Daniel and an egg and toast for myself. By the time Daniel got back in, I had breakfast on the table and was waiting on him. As we ate, we talked about what we wanted to do today. I asked him what the surprise was, but he wouldn't tell me anything.
After we finished I washed the dishes then made a thermos of coffee for Daniel and hot chocolate for me. Putting on our coats and hats, I grabbed our gloves in case we would need them. Daniel locked up the house, then opened the passenger door for me to get in. Getting in, I leaned over and gave him a kiss. He shut my door and went around getting in the driver's seat. Before we left the driveway, I watched as Daniel put on a new playlist. I noticed it was nothing but all the songs we love. After he pulled out of the driveway and started down the road, I reached over and held his hand.
We had been driving for about 20 minutes when "Strangers" by Maddie and Tae came on. I couldn't help but sing along with it. This song reminded me so much of me and Daniel. When it got to the chorus, I looked at Daniel and sang it to him. I knew that if we got married, I wanted this song to be our first dance. He kissed my hand when the song was over. Daniel ended up having me put on a blindfold because we were almost there. When we pulled to a stop, he got out and came around and opened my door for me again then helped me out. We walked a few minutes when he had me close my eyes before he took off the blindfold. Wrapping his arms around my waist, he whispered in my ear to open my eyes. I couldn't help but gasp when I did.
"You brought me to a reindeer farm!?" I turned around in Daniel's arms and kissed him, then started pulling him to the entrance.
Cash's POV: I couldn't help but to smile as Rose's face lit up at seeing all the reindeer, especially the babies. I had even arranged for her to be able to feed the babies. When they let her into the pen and handed her the bottle to feed them, I don't think her smile could get any wider. Watching her surrounded by the babies, I could help but fall more in love with her. She looked like she was on cloud nine. Feeling in my pocket to make sure her surprise was still in my pocket, I couldn't help but be slightly nervous.
After she had emptied one bottle, I took her hand and led her to where they were doing reindeer sleigh rides. Getting in the sleigh, I scooted to the way back and Rose got in front of me with her back to my chest. As we started moving, Rose snuggled more into me. Grabbing her left hand in mine, I pulled out the ring from my pocket without her noticing. She was so engrossed with her surroundings that she didn't notice me slipping the ring on her finger. Kissing the top of her head, I pulled her closer to me and enjoyed the ride.
Rose's POV: We had been riding for a while, when I had finally noticed that Daniel had put a ring on my left hand. Looking down, I couldn't help but gasp. The ring was absolutely gorgeous.

"Daniel?" I asked, looking up at him.
Taking a deep breath, Daniel started to speak. "Rose, these past two years have been the best of my life and I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life. It feels like I've known you forever. You see a side of me that no else does. You're the first person I want to talk to when I wake up and the last when I go to bed. I love you with all my heart Rose. Will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Wheeler?"
As Daniel was talking I couldn't help but to cry. When he asked if I would marry him, I couldn't answer, so I just nodded my head yes. He leaned down and gave me a kiss that took my breath away. When he pulled away, I could see he had started crying too. Wiping his tears away, I kissed him again. Pulling away I smiled up at him. "You know our first dance will be Strangers by Maddie and Tae right?"
"I wouldn't expect any other song. It fits us perfectly." Daniel said.
The rest of the ride I spent cuddled up to Daniel, thinking of the rest of our lives.
❄️ I really wasn't expecting this to end up with an engagement, but it basically came out that way. I'm glad it did though.
