Chapter 6

The next day I walked late into Herbology class and when I entered everyone turned to look at me. Thank god that Enid found a spare set of headphones, and I was wearing them because I didn't want to hear what everyone was thinking. I removed my headphones and walked towards Miss Thornhill, who had a huge smile on her face 

Thornhill: Y/n a little late, but that's fine! Come on, go to find a sit 

She said and when I turned the only free place was next to Xavier. Really, God? What the hell I have done to you? I thought of trying to find another place, but Xavier talked 

Xavier: There is a free sit next to me 

He said looking at me and I sighed, going to sit next to him. He was drawing a spider in his notebook, and then I noticed some scratches on his neck, but I ignored it 

Thornhill: We were just talking about how amazing is Xavier's ability. Why don't you show it to Y/n Xavier? 

She said, and then he put his hand above the drawing and after a couple of seconds, it came to life

Thornhill: I don't think Y/n is impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe 

Xavier: Admit that you are a little impressed 

He said smirking, I hit the spider, destroying it and everyone laughed 

Y/n: I am still cooler than you 

I said, turning to the teacher, and he laughed a little before closing his notebook

Thornhill: Y/n and Wednesday, we are thrilled to have you join us on the journey of our world of carnivorous plants! Now who can tell us the name of this beauty 

She asked and Bianca raised her hand, but my sister was faster than her ! My mom always loves to take care of these kinds of plants, and we always sit down and hear her talking for hours about them when we were little kids! Wednesday always said that she wasn't interested in them, but she was the only one who was listening to her in awe  

Thornhill: Very good Wednesday! Looks like you have competition this year, Bianca 

When we finished, I was walking out of the classroom and when I went to wear my headphones, Xavier came next to me 

Y/n: Say it quickly because I don't have all-day 

I said and crossed my hands 

Xavier: You are grumpy today, but I will say it quickly! Tomorrow our school is going to participate in an art competition at the high school in the town and I entered, but Miss Weems told me that I have to choose a partner to help me finish my drawing and I thought of you! The painting is going to be representing our school. Three very famous artists from all over the world will be there 

Y/n: You ask me now for tomorrow?

I said and he nodded 

Xavier: I have already started, I just need your help to finish it 

I was about to say no, but I noticed thing behind him telling me to agree. After a few minutes of hesitation, I eventually agreed 

Y/n: Fine, but because I have nothing to do all-day 

Xavier: I thought you said you were busy

I said and he smirked 

Y/n: Funny joke 

I said and he smiled 

Xavier: Meet me right here after lessons 

When lessons were finished, I went and change before I meet him. When I arrived, he was already waiting for me and when he saw me he smirked 

Xavier: I thought you will never come

Y/n: Well, I am full of surprises 

I said, and we started walking together to the woods where was a little place, and it looked like a big old storage room but as soon as I entered I found out that it looked like an atelier. I looked at the drawings and his particular drawing was a monster that I have never seen before 

Y/n: What is that?

I said, pointing at one of his paintings 

Xavier: I wish I knew 

He said and came next to me 

Xavier: I am seeing it in my dreams for months now and still can figure out what exactly it is 

He said, and I was still looking at it. He was really talented, but of course not as much as I was 

Xavier: Do you want some music? I have noticed that one thing that you always do when your drawing is listening to music and is fun to say that I do that too 

Y/n: Yeah, it helps me calm down and travels-

Xavier: Into different worlds that make you feel safe and accepted 

He said and I turned to look at him amazed 

Y/n: Yeah 

I said and he smiled. I sat on the ground and started drawing, and I almost forgot that he was there until he talked 

Xavier: So do you dance?

Y/n: I hate anything that has the word fun in it 

Xavier: Oh, a fun killer I get it 

He said, and then he pulled me up by my hand 

Y/n: Do you want to end up with a black eye?

Xavier: Come on, it won't kill you 

He said, and he spun me around. That was the first time in my whole life that I ever danced with someone, more specifically a boy. We danced to the beat of the music and that was the first time in my life that I was smiling 

Xavier: Oh look, she can smile after all?

Y/n: Shut up 

I said and when he spun me again our faces came inches away from each other, it looked like he was ready to kiss me, but then I stepped away and looked at the floor

Y/n: Let's continue it ! It's getting really late 

I said, and then we continued painting. When we returned it was really late, and when I entered my room I found my sister already sitting in her bed with her arms crossed while Enid was dead asleep 

Wednesday: From the painted shirt and dirty arms, you were probably painting 

She said standing up and coming to me 

Wednesday: From the really strong cologne, that I know it is not yours, I assume you were with Xavier 

Y/n: So?

I said, entering my closet to go and change 

Wednesday: Oh mother, I will never fall in love! I hate love 

She said mocking my voice while I exited my closet 

Y/n: And I still mean it 

I said sitting on my bed 

Wednesday: I just don't want you to get hurt, and you know that I will kill him if he dares to do it 

Y/n: I won't because I am not falling in love
