People like to think every story must have a happy ending. Or even have any at all. Many of the times they are correct, however, they would be farther from the truth with this story. This story follows a series of unfortunate events that happen to the Baudelaire siblings and Anastasia O'Malley. They go from guardian to guardian to find a safe home all across the country, until the eldest Baudelaire comes of age to inherit the fortune. There are no happy endings anywhere in this book. And don't think this is trying to mislead you into believing that there actually is, because, from my intense research and dedication to find out what truly happened to the Baudelaires and O'Malley, I couldn't find a singular happy moment. The hours, days, weeks, months, years even trying my hardest to find out what happened to my late Beatrice's orphans, and my late best friend, Oliver's young daughter, I seek to find the truth, and share the true tale of the Baudelaire and O'Malley orphans. I hope you won't get attached to these characters or any of the characters of this story because then I would feel sorry for you. I would recommend turning away now. Give yourself the safety of not knowing the tragedies that follow the young children. Look away before it's too late. I advise you to start reading something more enjoyable to use up your time. Save yourself now, because when you read into the next chapter the Baudelaire and O'Malley story gets much worse than wherever you think it is. -Lemony Snicket
