[Sonic has been in the hospital for a few weeks. He has been recovering well. Slowly but surely. The gang has been visiting sonic from time to time but the one you truly stay at sonic’s side was shadow. Shadow had never left sonic’s side. Shadow has been taking care of sonic like he use to back at the ark even with sonic protesting. Sonic has been scheduled regularly with a therapist to help him with his past trauma. Hes been doing fine but there are times when he has his breakdowns. With the commander and gun gone,you would think that Earth has no defense system. Well your wrong. The president had a meeting with shadow and other world leaders to figure out how to make sure that any events like the ark never happens again. They decided that they should help people learn how to be more understanding; how to judge others by character not what they look like,where there from or rumors about somebody. So thus hope[ help-our-people-excel] was born. With shadow as the main boss and sonic helping him the new organization was a success. They even hired amy,cream,Rouge, and knuckles to help. One day shadow was visiting sonic in the hospital when shadow got a call from his secretarys Rouge and Amy.]

Shadow: shadow here.

Rouge: shadow we got a situation. Just a few days ago a couple artice explores found some kind of pod. There bringing the pod to your office right now.

Shadow: thanks Rouge. I'll be right there. [ Turns to sonic] Sonic I'll be right back. Get some rest.

Sonic: What's going on?

Shadow: something came up at the office. I'll be right back.

[Shadow went to his office and true enough there was a familiar looking pod with his friends with it defrosting it.]

Knuckles: Oh your here.

Amy: do you think this pod came from the ark?

Shadow: I highly doubt it bit it does look familiar.

Cream: should we open it? I mean what if something is inside this.

Knuckles: I think so but be careful.

[They carefully opened and found a young girl with blond hair, wearing and blue dress and heals. Shadow gasped instantly recognized the person. That person was Maria. Without a word, shasow gently picked up Maria and left the room, leaving his friends confused. Shadow reach the headquarter doctors who did test on her and shadow found out shocking. The disease that Maria had on the ARK was gone. Shadow dont know how it happened or how she survived but that doesn't matter. She here alive and healthy.  It wasn't too long when Maria opened her eyes and found Shadow staring at her.

Maria:[softly] Shadow?

Shadow:[tears flowing down] Maria

[Shadow couldn't help but hug her. Maria hugged back. They didn't let go of each other for so long. They finally let go.]

Maria: Shadow, where are we?

Shadow: We're at hope headquarters. It used to be gun but gun doesn't exist anymore.

Maria: gun? Shadow how has it been since the attack.

Shadow: fifty years. It's been fifty years.

Maria: fifty years? How?

Shadow: It's a long story. But all that matters is that we're together again.

Maria: what about sonic? Did you find him?

Shadow: I did. He in the hospital.

Maria: hospital?!

Shadow: unfortunately. I should take you to him. I think it's time for you two to meet. On the way, I'll explain everything.

[ Shadow helped Maria walk while he explained what happened and what sonic has been through. Maria was  horrified of what the commander and the soldiers did to sonic. She got that shadow didn't remember his true promise to her but was happy that everything turned out okay. Doon enough they made it to sonic’s hospital room.]

Shadow: let me go first.l and get him ready for you. A warning that sonic might not remember you at first. He didn't remember me at first.

Maria nodded and stayed outside while shadow went in. Shadow found sonic sleeping but he went over to sonic and gently shook him awake.

Sonic:[yawn] hey shadow.

Shadow: Hey, there's someone I want you to meet.

[Maria came in smiling softly while sonic looked confused]

Maria: sonic it's so good to finally meet you.

Sonic: I'm sorry but who are you.

Shadow: remember when I tell you about Maria?

Sonic:[nod]

Shadow : this is Maria.

Sonic:[gasp softly] your Maria?

Maria:[nods]

Sonic: wow i...never thought I would get to meet you. Shadow as you probably heard told me so much about you.

Maria: I'm so glad to see you again. You grown up so much.

[They got into a group hug and just then the family is together as one once more.]

Congratulations to this book for being the first book to be finished. I like to thank @TessaRoberts185 for this idea for the ending. I'm sorry it took so long with my books. I've been more focused on studying for my driver's permit bit I will still update my books.
