'Break my heart? How could she break my heart??' I wondered as I sat on the couch after Claire left. Then Jaxon came in and sat down beside me. "Why?" He asked. "why not?" I replied. "Because she'll NEVER love you back!" he yelled. "Why are you so against the possibility of that? If she does love me back then what is so bad about that?! I love her and nothing can change that, not even you." I yelled back. "You guys should are polar opposites. Your popular, she's not. She's a straight A student, you have barely passing grades. Your confident, she's the shyest person ever and you'll never change that." he explained. "ever heard opposites attract?" I asked standing up. "Where are you going?" I left without answering him. he'll never get me. He's not in love with the person he hurt both emotionally and physically.
Claire's pov
I ran home. I couldn't believe it. It's not real it's just a dream I told myself. I kept pinching my arm but I knew it was hopeless. Brendan loves me. I can't imagine why. Then I remembered that I have his number. I pulled out my phone to look for his contact. When I found it I texted a simple message:

I held my breath while waiting for him to text back. I heard my phone go off and went to check it.
