My head is spinning
"Wake up, wake up!"
She shakes my shoulders suddenly
"Why are you still sleeping??"
I'm taken aback by her urgency
...by my lack of.

My head is stalling
"Wake up! Wake up!"
She tugs at my hands, pulls my mind
"Your dreams are falling!"
Her smile is sad
And worried
And upset.
Why do I see myself at places I haven't touched yet?
.
My head is simmering
I am awake.
After so much time
And heartache
Although I thought it will never be
I am now one with She
That sought me from sleep.
