It's hinted that Eddie's parents aren't around, and his father was a criminal.
Eddie sees his uncle Wayne as a father figure, and Wayne sees him as a son. They both try to spend as much time together as they can but it's hard with school and Wayne working as much as he can to support Eddie.
Wayne likes to listen to Eddie play the guitar. Sometimes Wayne will just sit on the couch smiling as Eddie jams out to Metallica or Iron Maiden.
Eddie will come to get a drink and will see Wayne giving him the 'proud dad' look.
"You heard that, huh?" Eddie will ask a little embarrassed.
"Damn right I did, you play good kid"
