"hello?" I say, answering the unknown call.
"talk to me." A boy demands, shakily on the other end.
"who is this?"
"just please i - i need you to talk to me."
"um... what's your favorite color?"
"black."He replies
"mine is blue." I say.
"together we're black and blue." He chuckles half-heartedly.
"that sounds painful." I try to joke.
"trust me, it is." He says almost to himself.
Then he hangs up.

"is it you?" I say.
"yea."
"what's your name?"
"just... call me Eli." He replies.
"okay." I sigh. "your music is up really loud."
"of course my music's up loud. i'm trying to drown out everyone's stupidity."
