chapter 6- spin the bottle
olive leans against elevens bed frame as she turns the pages of her magazine
she was getting tired of magazines at this point because all of them were full of pictures of Ralph Macchio and other teenage boys Olive didn't care to know the names of
she flinched as hopper opened the door yelling as he walked in
even if he was elevens dad now.. he was still the chief of police
"jeez do you knock?"
"yeah jeez" a smile twitches on olives lips
"oh sorry.. I just thought-"
"Mike isn't here" max replies
"nope just your favorite wheeler" olive grins but he doesn't seem to find it funny
"max and olive wanted to have a .. sleepover? Is that okay?" El asks
"yeah!.. great! .. that's great .. your parents know?" Max and olive both nod
hopper stands there awkwardly as the three girls stare at him waiting for him to walk back out the door
"did you need something?" Max asks
"no.. no no sorry .. I'll just" he walks out the door
"I'm sick or looking at mediocre men" olive sighs as she throws down her magazine dramatically
"I have a .. idea" el replies making olive look at her unsurely

did olive think it was a good idea to play spin the bottle but whoever it lands on el has to spy on?
not at all
especially when it landed on her dad
"if we are going to play this you are not spying on my dad!" olive exclaims
max smirked "what think we will find out your dad is living a double life or something?"
"max! you're so not funny" olive replies
"it's not like he even gets off the couch" olive states
"ugh boring"
"yeah boring" el repeats
"spin again" max says
"against the rules?" El asks
"you spend way to much time with my brother, spin" olive snickers
eleven looked at max for confirmation max nods "we make our own rules"
el grins spinning the bottle again watching as the coke bottle stops at billys name
olive shook away the memory of him smashing her into a wall
"Billy" max and el say in sync
olive hadn't seen Billy since he gave her a concussion she wouldn't even go to Hawkins pool anymore even when her mom begged her to go with holly and her
"okay look I should just warn you, if he's with a girl or doing something gross.. just get out of there right away before your scarred for life"
olive stands up grabbing the blindfold and the radio as max talks
"Max" El says
"No I'm just saying- I'm serious he's really gross"
"max!"
