I got a piece of paper and a pen from the table near the computer and jotted it down. I paused and my eyes went to the door. There's a creak as it opens slowly. My other hand still held the pen, while the other moved as if continuing to look for something. My eyes pay close attention to the screen and the door. No one entered. I didn't stand. I let it open wide. I don't have time to think of such a thing as closing it back.

I feel it. Someone is coming. I crumpled the small piece of paper and tossed it down the table into the trash can. I closed the Google app and went to my research file. Four feet finally entered the room. I closed up. I met Ford's gaze.

Tumikhim ako at noon pa lamang lumingon si Rain sa akin. I was totally confused about it. How dare he allow someone who is not a part of our family to enter our private room? So disgusting.

Rain said nothing and just continued to show him our room. Tumayo ako at lumapit sa kanila at kusang humarang sa kanilang sana'y sunod na daraanan.

"What are you checking?"

"Arts and design," Ford answered, enticing his eyes. S.G. men had lustrous eyes, actually, all of them. But this man, Ford, wants to bait.

"May babaguhin ka ba rito, Rain?" Ford chewed on his bottom lip.

"Pinatingin ko lang," sagot nito sa akin. I forced a smile and let it fade away.

"Lalabas na muna ako." Pasimple kong inirapan si Ford bago tuluyang lumabas ng silid. I hold my breath while walking through Lisa's room.

As I opened the door, I saw my kids together. Lisa is lying down while River is telling her a story. I smiled as I looked at them.

"Mom," Lisa called me. River turned his head and sees me.

"Come here, Mom," she added. I leaned in and closed the door.

"How's your knee?" Her mouth curved into a smile.

"I'm feeling alright."

I sat next to her. "Anyway, I will cook something special for our dinner. Any requests?"

"No need, Mom. At kahit ano pa ang iluto mo, paborito namin iyon ni Lisa. Right, Liz?"

"That's true."

"And Mom, did Daddy go to the mall earlier?"

"He's on to his business. Why?"

"I saw him inside the toy shop. Actually, we both saw him wearing black. Everything is black."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Mom. I know it was exactly like Daddy."

"That's impossible."

"Why shouldn't you ask him, Mom?" Lisa insisted. I feel the swolle breaths, wanting to zip my mouth. I can't give any reason for it.

"Mom, are you okay?" Lisa asked, touching my hand. My mind was motionless. My mouth didn't want to speak even if I wanted to. Sandali akong napatulala. May bagay na palaging gumagambala sa aking isipan. Gustuhin ko man na ito'y iwasan, pero paulit-ulit na bumabalik.

"And kids, just stay here. I will be going down and preparing something. I will tell Lucy to look over here." I finally stood. We exchanged our glances, and then I went out. Lahat sila totoo.
