In the next room, we found a large beast that looked like a mountain troll* but had already been knocked out.
"Good thing we didn't have to fight that one." Harry said.
I totally agreed.
"Come one, let's go." Hermione whispered.
"Of course. You're right, like always." I whispered back.
She gave me a small smile.
We went into the next room, hoping to see another creature, but all that was in the room were 7 bottles on a wooden table with a piece of parchment.
When we stepped in the room, fire appeared at the two doors. Behind us, it was purple, for some reason. At the door at our front, black flames shot up.
"Look!" Hermione whispered, "There's a note near the bottles!" She went to pick it up, and I followed her.
It read :
Danger lies before you, while safety lies behind,
Two of us will help you, whichever you would find,
One among us seven will let you move ahead,
Another will transport the drinker back instead,
Two among our number hold only neffle wine,
Three of us are killers, waiting hidden in fine.
Choose, unless you wish to stay here for evermore,
To help you in your choice, we give you these clues four:
First, however slyly the poison tries to hide
You will always find some on neffle wine's left side;
Second, different are those who stand at either end,
But if you move onwards, neither is your friend;
Third, as you see clearly, all are different size,
Neither dwarf nor giant holds death in their insides;
Fourth, the second left and the second on the right
Are twins when you taste them, though different
at first sight.
*Mountain troll - They were the largest breed, weighing over a tonne, and also the most vicious. They were often bald beasts with thick, dark grey skin. They sometimes used Graphorns as mounts, though the Graphorns themselves eminently disliked this and many mountain trolls bore scars from trying to ride the creatures.
