Max suddenly came back breathing very quickly and looked freaked out. "Hey Max are you okay? What happened?" you asked her. She didn't say anything and just trying to calm down her breathing. You then hear people running down the halls and they got louder and louder until Robin and Nancy stud in the doorway.

"Max can you please tell me what happened." You asked her again. "I heard this ticking from a clock so I followed it. And came to a dead end where I saw a grandfather clock in the wall." Max started but I interrupted her. "You didn't go anywhere, you where sitting here the hole time and you looked you where in a trance, the same trance was Fred when I saw him." Max then got up. "Come with me." She said walking down the hallway. You all followed her until you where at a dead end. "It was here. Right here." Max said clearly still freaking out. "A grandfather clock?" Nancy asked. "It was so real. And then when I got closer, suddenly I just... I woke up." Max said. "It was like she was in a trance or something. Exactly what Eddie said happened to Chrissy and what Y/N said about Fred" Dustin said. "That' s not even the bad part." Max said turning to us. "We need to look into the files again." She said and you all walked back to Ms. Kelly's office. "Fred and Chrissy, they both came to Miss Kelly for help. Uh, they both were having headaches, bad headaches that wouldn't go away. And then... then the nightmares. Trouble sleeping. They 'd wake up in a cold sweat. Then they started seeing things. Bad things. From their paste. And These visions, they just... they kept on getting worse and worse, until eventually... everything ended." Max said. I didn't even knew what to say. "Vecna's curse." Robin said. "Chrissy's headache started a week ago. Fred's, six days ago. I've been having them for five days. I don't know how long I have. All I know is that, for Fred and Chrissy, they both died less then 24 hours after their first vision. And I just saw that goddamn clock, so... looks like I'm going to die tomorrow." Max said. You ware shocked and just got up and hugged her real tight.

Then we all heard something running in the hallway. "Stay here." Steve said grabbing a lamp and left the room. We all followed him. In the hall you heard a door shut and we all stood still. Then we hear someone running our direction. Steve got ready with his lamp to hit who ever came around the corner. All a sudden Steve started to scream and the other person as well. "It's me!" They said. "Lucas?" Nancy asked. "Jesus, what's wrong with you Sinclair?!" Steve screamed asked him. "I'm sorry." Lucas answered out of breath. "I could've taken you out with this lamp!" Steve shouted. "Sorry, guys. Sorry. I was... I was running for eight mile. Give me a second. Shit. We've got a code red." Lucas said. "What?" You asked. Lucas then walked up to Dustin. "Dustin. I've been with Jason, Patrick and Andy and they've gone totally off the rails. They're trying to capture Eddie, and they think you know where he is. You're in terrible danger." Lucas said. "All right. Yeah, that definitely sucks, but we've got bigger problems than Jason right now." Dustin said looking over at max. Lucas knew straight away that had some thing to do with Max and started to feel worried.

That night we all went over to Nancy ' s house and stayed there for the night. Robin and Nancy gave us some of their papers from Viktor Creels house from the year 1959. "Okay, be honest. Uh... do you guys understand any of this?" Steve asked Lucas, Dustin and me. "No." Lucas said. You just nodded in agreement with Lucas. "It' s pretty straightforward." Dustin said. "Oh, straightforward, really?" Steve asked. "What' s confusing to you? So far, everyone Vecna has cursed has died, except for this old Victor Creel dude Nancy found. He's the inly known survivor. If anyone knows how to beat this curse, it's him." Dustin said. "That's assuming he was cursed, which we don't even know. How can Vecna have existed in the '50s? it doesn't make sense." Steve said. "Far as we know, Eleven didn't create the Upside Down. She opened a gate to it. The Upsaid Down has probably been around for thousands of years. Millions. I wouldn't be surprised if it predated the dinosaurs." Dustin said. "Dinosaurs? What are we--" You started but got interrupted my Lucas. "Okay. But if a gate didn't exist in the '50s, how did Vecna get through?" Lucas asked. "How's he getting through now? " Steve asked. "And why now? And why then? Just pops out in the '50s, kills one family, and he's like, "I'm good." And poof, he just disappears. Just... gone? Only to return 30 years later and start killing random teens? No, I don't buy it." You said. "Straightforward, my ass. You know honestly, Henderson, a little humility now and then, it wouldn't hurt you. "Steve said. "Sorry." Dustin said. Steve then sat down on one of the chairs and looked back at the paper. Dustin looked over to Max, you then look as well and see her writhing something. "Any idea what she's writing?" Dustin asked. You just shook you head no. "Did she sleep?" Dustin asked. "Would you?" Lucas asked back. Then the door suddenly opened at the top of the stars. Nancy and Robin walk down. "Okay so,... we have a plan." Nancy said. "Thanks to Nancy ' s newspaper minions, we are now rock-star psychology students at the University of Notre Dame. "Robin said. "I' m now Ruth." Nancy said. "And I' m Rose." Robin said. "Nice GPA." Dustin said. "Thanks." Nancy said. "So we called Pannhurst Asylum, told them we 'd like to speak with Victor Creel for a thesis we ' re co-writing on paranoid schizophrenics-" Nancy told us. "To which they said no." Robin said. "But we landed a three o'clock with the director." Nancy informed us. "Now all we have to do is charm him and convince him to let us talk to Victor." Robin continued. "Then maybe we can rid Max of this curse." Nancy said. "Yeah, uh, about that. We've been doing our Victor Creel homework, and, uh... we've got some questions." Steve said. "Lots of questions." You corrected. "So do we hopefully, Victor has the answers." Nancy said. "Wait... Wait... wait a second. Uh... where's mine?" Steve asked looking at Robin and Nancy. Nancy just gave him a look and went back upstairs what you probably think is to her room. You looked over to Max and saw her packing the things that she wrote into envelops. "I know you guys are staring at me." She suddenly said. "What, sorry?" Steve said starting to through a ball up and down. "You said you needed something?" Lucas said. "Just hanging out." Dustin said while taking a book from the table. You just rolled your eyes at them and looked at your newspaper again that you had in your lap. "How you think your eyes boring into the back of my head is protecting me from Vecna, I don 't know." She said getting up for her chair and walked over to you four. You turned to her, but the other three just pretend like they didn't notice. "You can look at me now." She said. "Thank you. Sorry." Dustin said and the other two just said sorry you just rolled your eyes again. "For you." She held out an envelop to Dustin. "For you." Too Steve. "For you." Too Lucas. "And for you." She gave me a envelop. "Oh, and, um, give these to Mike, El and Will. If you can ever get a hold of them again." She said and gave three more envelops to Lucas. We were all really confused and started to open them up. "Hey what are you doing? No, don't. That's not for now. Don't open it now." Max said. "Don't... okay." Dustin said closing it up again. "I'm sorry. What is this?" You asked really confused. "It's, um... it' s a fail-safe. For after. If things don 't work out" She said and it Brock your heart hearing that. "Max." You said calming. "Wait, whoa. Max, things are going to work out." Lucas said. "No! No. I don 't need you to reassure me and tell me it' s all going to work out. Because People have been telling me that my entire life and it' s almost never true. It' s never true. I mean, of course this assshole curses me. Should have seen that coming." Max said turning around the table next to her. "If we go to East Hawkins, will this reach Pannhurst?" She asked. "Of course. Yeah." Dustin answered. "Why are we talking about East Hawkins?" Steve asked. You already have a felling she will want to go to Billy ' s grave or something. "No. No. No!" Steve said but Max didn't listen and went upstairs and out said to the cars. "Max, Max. Seriously. Seriously, I' m not joking. I' m not driving you anywhere." Steve said walking behind Max. You, Dustin and Lucas where behind him. "If you think I' m going to spend what is most likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike Wheelers basement, then you ' re out of your mind. And you're not driving me. Y/N is." Max said then turning to me. "Y/N you ' re not driving her anywhere." Your brother turned to you. "Steve I don't care what you say, for today and probably for a while I'll take Max where ever she wants, so Max let' s go." You said and you and Max walk over to your car. You both got into your car you then look out the window to your brother that is now getting into his car with the other two boys. "Thank you Y/N." Max said busting on her seatbelt. "No problem. So where to?" You ask her. "Home." She just said and drove of seeing you brother following you in your mirror. The rind was quite, you looked over to Max in between to see if she was thill with me.
