Chapter 3: Like the Movies

"Hi,"

For every time that I see Cael in the campus, we always greet each other with a friendly 'hi'. Madalas nadadaan ko siya sa hallway. Sa tuwing pupunta ako ng library nakikita ko rin siya doon kasama ang mga kaibigan niya na pamilyar na sa akin ang kanilang mga mukhan. He also usually stretches his arm to wave his hand so I could see it from the crowd. Then we started eating lunch together. Eli didn't mind it, Zee, Sol, and Tim were there to eat with him.

We usually talk about random things about books, MCU movies, and sometimes underrated films recommendations of our own. Madalas ko rin siyang nakikita sa field since very hectic ang training nilang mga track and field athletes.

"Agree, Natasha deserves so much better," I argued. We can't stop talking about the Endgame over this day. Well, from the weeks that we've been hanging out, I already proved to him that he is the real nerd between us.

He places the tray of his food on top of mine after just having finished our lunch. "See," he began showing me photos of memes from his gallery that we both agree to laugh at.

Then there are other photos of arts that I am not familiar with but I didn't ask him about it. Napasobrahan siya sa pagswipe sa dulo ng pictures kaya nakita ko ang isa niyang photo. He is topless and on top of him is a dog. My eyes widened a little after seeing his body. So I just quickly zoom it towards the dog.

"May aso ka pala?" gulat kong tanong. Tumango siya habang pinagmamasdan ang reaksyon ko. "Wait, golden retriever ba ang breed niya?" pagkukumpirma ko.

"Oo," nagpatuloy siya sa pagswipe papunta sa iba pang mga albums. Both of them look so cute. Some photos are both of them smiling together and he is carrying the dog. The other photo is both of them in the park sitting in the bench. "Isn't she cute?" he continued, swiping.

"Magkamukha kayo," I tease him. Pero hindi maikakaila na halos magkamuhka nga talaga sila. Mula sa mga litratong pinakita niya, mukhang maganda ang relasyon ng mag-amo.

"I'll take that as a compliment," he shrugs his shoulder off to me, pushing me. He smiles, the opposite of being offended. "Well, like father like daughter,"

"Anong name niya?" tanong ko habang hawak na ang kaniyang phone. Umupo siya pabalik sa kaniyang upuan.

"MJ," he murmurs the pet's name. Indeed, the dog is a girl and it looks so pretty. "Gusto mo siyang makita?" even if it's not his intention to ask it, I would volunteer on meeting this cute fluffy creature. I just hope that MJ will like me.

"Of course!" I said raising with excitement. Bumalik ang tingin ko sa mga pictures nilang dalawa. They really look cute together, and he looks like he's a father. I zoom to Cael's face just to secretly gaze to his wide smiling cheeks.

"Cute ba?"

"Ah--- oo," nataranta ako bigla sa tinanong niya sabay zoom out sa photo. "Cute ni MJ," paglilinaw ko. I handed his phone back before we get back to our separate classrooms. "So, bakit nga pala MJ name niya?" tanong ko kahit na alam ko naman ang sagot.
