"Yeah, I was thinking we could..Steve. Steve!"

"Huh? Oh yeah..."

Steve was taken out of his trance by his younger friend Dustin, "Were you even listening?" he says, annoyed, "What were you even thinking about now?"

What does he mean 𝘯𝘰𝘸? 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘐 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦

Steve couldn't remember at all about what he was thinking. For the most part, his daydream was black. He could only hear

The only things he would hear reminded him of summer. They sounded like fireworks, but he never knew if they were

Sometimes, within his dream, he would see flashing lights and hearing shouting, but there was one yell that wouldn't leave his mind.

Steve had no ideas who's yell it was, but for some reason, it hurt whenever he would be reminded of it

It's been two months since Hawkins had divided into fourths, Steve's mind would often go blank at random times in the day. He would envision the same thing over and over almost like a warning.

"Alright, she's all ready to go," a nurse says with a smile who is helping Max on her new crutches to the two boys waiting in the hallway.

The plan for today was to pick up Max from the hospital and then bring her to Hop's cabin to celebrate her being released from the hospital

On the way to Hopper's, Steve could barely hear Max talking about the hospital and Dustin's ideas about DnD

As soon as they walked in through the old wooden doors, everyone greeted Max with hi's and hugs, welcoming her back after two months of being in the hospital and through unimaginable surgeries.

As Steve finishes catching up with the group; he walks outside onto Hop's porch, lighting a cigarette and leaning on the old wooden railing.

He only got one drag in before he was interrupted by Joyce yelling for Will inside of the house

Steve thought to himself: 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦? Steve took one last puff before dropping his cigarette and stomping on it

Steve followed to where the commotion was coming from, stopping in the doorway of El's room. Will wasn't moving, almost like he was stuck, Steve didn't even know if the boy was breathing.

Not too long, Will started to walk towards the front door, almost as if he was being dragged. Will was eventually led to where the ground had been split apart.

"Hey..! Hey!" Jonathan shouts, clapping his hands at Will, trying to his attention with Joyce running close behind

Suddenly, Will stops right before falling in the literal doorway to hell. A dark silhouette rises from the gate as it towers over the group. Soon enough, it is clear to tell who it is..Vecna, Eleven steps in front of her friend glaring at Vecna

Her jaw clenches at the sight of her former brother, though she is stronger than Vecna he lifts her into the air, throwing her not too far but enough so Will is back in his sight

Mike runs towards El to help her back up, and then Vecna starts to speak

"I did enjoy the fight all of you put up, but I can't let you have all the fun." His voice is intimidating but not enough to scare this strange group.

"What do you want with my boy!" Joyce cries out to Vecna, having never seen but heard of him before.

"At first, I didn't think he was any useful.." He pauses looking at Joyce "...although now it seems he knows too much..as well as you."

He turns to Nancy, pulling down one of her curls and letting it bounce back up, but her boldness makes her slap his hand away.

Vecna closes his eyes, raising his arm like he did right before killing Max and the others. Jonathan runs to his brother, shaking him and telling him to wake up, but it is too late, Will's feet begin to lift off the ground
