(Author's note: Sorry, This chapter won't have Ash battle Brock for the Badge, It focuses mostly training and some other stuff but he will battle Brock in the next chapter)

Walking out of the Viridian City, The duo arrived at Pewter City where they witness buildings with mountains seen at the back...
"Oh look it's Pewter City" Ash pointed to the location
"Phew at least were not gonna be stuck in the forest for the rest of my lives" replied Misty not wanting to see anymore bugs creeping around the woods
"Pewter City is grey, the color of stone, this city is famous for stone" a man's voice said
Both trainers look down where they see a brown bearded man wearing a red beanie seating where next to him are shelves of stones with prices labeled each one.
"Huh who is that guy?" Ash asks Misty
"I don't know never met em" Misty shrugged
"The names Flint, you're standing some of my merchandise young man" said the now person named Flint
Ash realizes that he is standing one of rocks that he was selling and gets off the boulder.
Ash looks at the stand with the word 'STAND' on the wooden board, each rocks has some expensive prices such as the boulder which cost like 1,000 Pokedollars which he highly doubt anybody gonna buy it
"You sell... rocks?"
"That's right there souvenirs, Wanna buy some?" He asked his potential customer
"Oh sorry, No thanks" Ash turns down in buying Flint's rocks
"Well that's a shame but If I guess you're a Pokemon trainer?"
Ash nodded at Flint's question
"You seem worn out walking all the way here, I'll show you the way to the Pokemon Center"
He stands up walking to show were the PkmnCenter at
Ash looks at Misty with a smile "He seems not to bad, Flint is a nice guy"
Misty raised her brow skeptical about this stranger "Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure"
Flint paused and looks to face Ash, "Oh yeah by the way that'll be a 2 Pokedollar charge for my rocks"
Cue the comical Anime fall

Upon reaching the Pokemon Center in Pewter City...
Ash and Misty gave there respective Pokeballs at the front desk
"Um excuse me Nurse Joy, Please heal up my Pokemon"
"And mine too"
"Sure No problem you two, It will be done in a short time" said Nurse Joy
"Chansey Chansey!" replied her medical companion
("It's strange that every Nurse Joy in many regions all look the same") Ash remembering that the Nurse Joys even the Jennys all look the same even the photos too which confuses Ash how they even match the looks with every cousins or sisters of there family
Misty meanwhile is gazing at the poster which is the Pokemon League Regional Championships where advertise trainers to compete the gym challenge and participate the official Pokemon League, sometimes anyone would take on the Elite 4 even battle the Champion Lance who is not only the Elite 4 member but the champion of both Kanto and Jotho combined.
"Hmm to compete in a regional Championships you need to beat Gym Leaders from different towns and claim the badge for proof"
"Yep I'm gonna compete in the tournament"
Misty looks at her friend "You sure you can do that?"
