Ash's Alternate Journey: Kanto Indigo League

Short Story: Something in Common

While they are still traveling to Vermilion City as the three decided to take a break and probably have some with training before getting back to the road.

Ash haven't check up Bulbasaur for few days and his recently Magby too

He sent the following Pokemon: Wartortle, Spearow, Clefairy, Eevee, Bulbasaur and Magby

Clefairy and Eevee needed some training to be done to probably learn new moves and lastly Bulbasaur and Magby.
He two addition to his team fill in for coverage of Grass and Fire which he needed for future battles

Also the time his and his friend's Pokemon blasted there attacks to Magby's previous Trainer, Damien. He sparks an idea for a combination attack but he need to take some time to pull it off.

"Alright lets see here..." muttered Ash as he tap the Summary function of his Pokedex

[This Bulbasaur's gender is Male and has the hidden ability, Chlorophyll, Known Moves are: Tackle, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf, Seed Bomb, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Take Down and Venoshock. Known Egg Moves are: Power Whip but yet to be unlock in use.]

('Oh wow these are pretty good moves and strange his trainer dumped despite a good ability and moveset') He is also found out that it got Venoshock, The Trainer probably had use a TM to his Bulbasaur.

He sees the Bulbasaur interacting the Pokemon like his Eevee who is playing with him and seems to be enjoying with her.

"And now Magby" He uses his Pokedex to scan Magby who is battling the Wartortle for a spar

[This Magby's gender is Male and has the ability, Flame Body, Known Moves are Flmaethrower, Flame Wheel, Clear Smog, Smokescreen, Lava Plume and Thunderpunch. This Pokemon has no Egg Moves]

"Maaggby!" The Magby jabs foward a Thunder Punch to the water type
"Wartortle" The cool Wartortle caught the first by both of his hands

"Magby!?" Magby was stopped midstop as he got hit by a Water Pulse to the face

"Maaaggbbyy" He was send to the air but luckily a pair of vines caught him

"Bulbasaur" He sighed as he put the Magby down on the ground ehich the Magby thank him

"Bulba bulbasaur" He scolded the Wartortle which he nervously shrugged in his nevk

The Magby said it was okay but remind him not to that agin

"Guys food is ready!" called out Brock as he cooked up Lunch for everyone as everyone approach the table where the food is and dig in

After lunch was done with there bellies full e decided to relax before heading off...

Magby walks up to the Bulbasaur for a conversation. He remembered that this Pokemon is also abandoned just like himself.

This is where Pokespeech happens:

"Hey Bulbasaur, Can I join ya on something"

The Bulbasaur turns too see Magby which he shrug and allows him

"Sure knock yourself out"

Magby sits next to Bulbasaur and have an awkward silence each other until Magby decides to speak up

"So uhh...I heard you are also abandoned by your Trainer" he said

Bulbasaur stares at him for a minute "Uh yeah, What about it?"

"Well I'm curious Saur, I wanna know how you ended up that Daycare before"

Bulbasaur just sigh since he is unwilling to tell his backstory but has no other option or else Magby will keep annoying him "Well fine *sigh*

[FLASHBACK...]

BOOOOMM!!!
"BULLBAA!!!"
The Bulbasaur got knocked back from the powerful water type attack from a Poliwrath

"Bulbasaur is unable to battle the winner is Travis and Poliwrath"

"All right way to go Poliwrath"
"Poli poliwrath!"

Both trainer and Pokemon happily High-Five for there victory but other side not so well

The trainer having blond hair with a side stylish hairstyle who wears a rich blue suit and jeans at the bottom (Or the blonde Rich Boy trainer in RSE and ORAS) grumbled angrily as he withdraw his Pokemon back to the Pokeball still upset from the loss.

Moments later...

The same boy is now in the forest with his eyes shadowed, As he tosses his Bulbasaur in the forest knowing what you guys are thinking he is about to do.

"Bulba?-" He was interrupted by the harsh shouts from the Rich Boy

"Listen up you useless frog thing, What you did out there was disappointing, Tsk"

"Bulba....."

"Your a grass type you have a type advantage and you lost to a Water type of all things!"

He smashes his Pokeball to the ground and stomps it destroying the Pokeball to pieces

"BULBA!?"

"Why can't you be a strong Pokemon, Like my Pyroar, Why can't you be like him" He held a golden coated Pokeball indicating his Puroar inside

"Yes that's right Pyroar, You're better than this pathetic Bulbasaur that he can't even came close as powerful as you" He said to his golden Pokeball as he peck a bit of a kiss "That's right your special, I'm so glad Papa gave me this Pokemon"

"Bulba.." he grumbled upset of now former trainer

Then he turned around leaving the Bulbasaur behind of the forest "Well I don't want to see you anymore, I'll just catch better and stronger Pokemon so I can win the league just you wait"

Then he disappeared of the scene... Leaving the Seed Pokemon behind

The Bulbasaur stared off the last seen of the Rich Boy, Only left is the angry Bulbasaur with few tears falling from his eyes

The Grass and Poison type disappeared to the bushes in the forest nowhere to be seen

"And that's what all happen" Bulbasaur finishes his story

Magby stared at the Bulbasaur, "Damn..." That's all he could say

"But what about your Trainer? What happen to him?"

"Bah! All I heard he didn't do well somewhere the Saffron Gym, Melanie told me, Serves him right"

"Ha deserved, But hey we both got abandoned by our trainers but Ash took us in in the team"

Bulbasaur was happy his new trainer is much better than his previous "Yeah hope so... Maybe we can get to compete in the league"

"Yeah League, I heard Wartortle is head over hills in entering the competition even Nidorina is too, Maybe I'll evolved to a Magmar and battle in a stadium"

"Hehe yeah...Who knows we might face in this crazy journey. Hopefully nothing bad is gonna happen"

Yeah nothing gonna happen....

"Let's head back Ash is pulling out a box of chocolate crinkles for a snack" said Magby as he runs to where the camp is at as Bulbasaur follows behind

"HEY SAVE SOME FOR ME!"

Yeah not much of Bulbasaur's backstory but that's all I think of...

But the next chapters revolved around Vermilion City including where they take on the S.S Anne.
Expect Ash getting new Pokemon including some of his Pokémon evolve and gaining stronger moves and a Gym Battle against Lt. Surge with a better team than the usual team in the games.
