It turns out Maverick and Goose had the same idea Ava and Ash had but during their fly by they caused the watch captain to spill his coffee all over himself. Maverick and Goose were immediately called to Vipers office and Ava and Ash headed back to her room to hang out.
Surprisingly they gave her a pretty good room it was in between Maverick and Ash while Goose was across from her. It had just enough room to fit a medium size queen bed, a desk, a small kitchen table with 4 chairs and a small couch. It was more of a tiny apartment without a shower but luckily had a toilet.
Ash and Ava were sitting at the small table playing cards she could see something was on her RIO's mind but didn't want to push.
"So. You and Ice what's going on there?" Ash asked organizing his cards
"Nothing much we've bumped into each other a few times, flirted a little. He asked me to get a drink with him later tonight." Ava said organizing her own cards
"Just be careful alright. I just don't want anything to happen to you, anything that could mess up your chances here at Top Gun. This is a great opportunity for you, for both of us we deserve to be here more than anyone." Ash said making Ava nod, he's always been very protective of her and is always worried about anything messing up her chances of getting the recognition and opportunities she deserves.
"I'll be careful, your my best friend Danny. The only family I've got other than Pete and Goose, I won't let you down. I promise I'll get us that trophy." Ava said making Ash smile and nod
"I know you will." Ash said as they started their card game. "You know Maggie and Sarah are coming to visit with Carole and Bradley, you going to come with us to pick them up?"
"Are you kidding? Like I'm going to miss seeing my god babies and best friend's, of course I'm coming with. I already have gifts picked out for Sarah and Bradley anyway." Ava said with an excited smile making Ash roll his eyes
"You spoil those kids way too much." Ash said making Ava gasp
"I do not! It is my job as the fairy godmother to spoil my favorite kiddos and make sure they love me more than Pete. I think I'm succeeding." Ava shrugged making Ash chuckle
"All I'm saying is be mindful, Maggie and Carole still have to be able to fit on the plane back home. Meaning you can't buy another life sized Barbie Dream House for Sarah and life sized Fighter Jet for Bradley." Ash said making Ava sigh
