Recap:
"My house," the woman says "I didn't introduce myself. I'm Joyce Byers,"
"Nice to meet you, your son is a good kid," I then hopped onto the motorcycle "Well, lead the way, Hopper,"
Present:
I've arrived at a house near the woods. I entered the house and looked around, everything was covered in drawings on paper.
"What are these?" I asked as I continued to look at the drawings
"Will drew these," Nancy states "It's a map of Hawkins. Tunnels,"
"Uh-huh..." I hummed
"So you just need some background information, Y/N," Joyce starts
"No need. I hear all," I stated
"Excuse me?" Joyce asks in a confusing voice
"Oh! Right! I have enhanced hearing," I tell them and point at my ear "I don't know much, but all I know is that El opened a portal and allowed Demogorgon or mind flayer thing in, um...Will is part of the hive mind or something..."
"Yeah. That's it," Joyce says with concern
"Y/N, can you close the portal?" Hopper asks, I chuckled
"Look, I can do a lot of things, but opening and closing portals are way beyond my abilities. Ever heard of the saying that if you start it, you end it? The same concept, so the only person who can close the portal is El," I explained "Besides the only powers I have are enhanced hearing, telepathy, elemental powers, and telekinesis, and I can talk to the dead,"
"See my zombie idea can work, because they have no brains," Dustin points out
"The dead as in ghosts. Not zombies. Besides they can't touch things physically," I stated "Since we don't have El. That means the only person we can ask for help is the corrupted one himself. Will,"
"But he's connected to the mind flayer, so wouldn't the mind flayer find us, with his hive mind or something?" Lucas asks
"Yeah, but he can't spy if he doesn't know where he is," Mike states, I then pat his head
"There you go. Your answer," I smirked, Joyce then snaps her finger and shows the shed in the backyard "Yeah, that should work,"
We all gathered scraps of paper and Christmas wrapping and started to cover the inside of the shed. We then tied Will onto a chair and wrapped him with a rope. Since I wasn't close to Will, I headed back to the house. I then see Dustin, Lucas, Max, Nancy, and Steve. Nancy then notices me but directed her attention away from me. She was then alone in the kitchen.
"Barb," I stated
"What?" she asks puzzled
"I talk to Barb sometimes," I tell her "She often talks about you,"
"What did she say?" she asks as she walks toward me
"She says that she misses you," I stated, I then realized I can't stay mad at Nancy and Steve forever
"Is she happy?" Nancy asks, I nodded my head, the phone then rang and I diverted my attention towards it and used my powers to rip it off, I felt blood trickling down my nose and Nancy hands me a paper towel
"Thanks," I whispered to her
"You think he heard?" Max asks
"It's just a phone," Dustin says "It could be anywhere, right?"
"Based on some of the frequencies on the phone? No," I stated, I heard a distant screech, the back door then busted open, and I see everyone running into the house
"Hey! Hey! Get away from the windows!" Hopper says yelling at Dustin, Lucas, and Max, he is holding a shotgun in one hand, he then turns to Johnathan
"Do you know how to use it?" Hopper asks
"What?" Johnathan asks
"Can you use this?" Hopper asks sternly
"I can," Nancy states, Hopper then throws the shotgun at Nancy
"Everyone stay inside," I tell them, I then exited the house and stood my ground, I hear the rustling in the bushes, and I then see a Demodog charging toward me, I grunted, and ripped it apart with my powers, a couple more appear, I then see one fly away, I turned to the side and saw a girl "Eleven?"
"Twenty!" she cries and runs towards me, I then swung the other Demodog through the window, and I then hugged Eleven
"Are you okay?" I asked her, she's grown a lot over the years, she was no longer small and helpless, El then nods her head and we headed back into the house, everybody gasped at the sight of Eleven and dropped their weapons
"Eleven..." Mike whispers
"Mike..." Eleven gasps happily, they ran towards each other and hugged each other tightly
"Is that...?" Max asks
"I never gave up on you! I called you every night for-" Mike cries
"353 days," Eleven interrupts him "I heard,"
"Why didn't you tell me? That you were okay?" Mike asks, I then hear Hopper's footsteps walking towards
"Because I wouldn't let her," Hopper states
"I'm going outside to make sure there aren't any more Demodogs wandering around," I said awkwardly making my way out of the house, I then sighed heavily and wiped my nose, I then hear footsteps following me from behind, I turned around and saw Nancy, I then faced forwards once again
"When I said sorry back at the trailer, I meant it, I meant it," Nancy states "I've always wanted to stop Tommy from harassing you, but I was weak. Weak. I know it wouldn't make any difference, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Y/N,"
"It's fine, it's not like we can change the past anyway," I stated as I looked around, I then turned towards Nancy "We can start over I suppose,"
Nancy chuckles "That would be nice,"
"Hey!" I see Max peering through the door "They want to talk to you Y/N,"
