"Nigga the party start at 8 so we got time chill" Go said to Huncho. Today is his birthday and he was going crazy making sure everything was exactly how he wanted it to be.
But we can't go to crazy because the Elites try out is tomorrow at 3 and we need to play the best we can.
Leah is at Go parents house and Mari was around the house somewhere.
"I want everything to be perfect y'all know that. I just hope nothing pop off. Shit" Huncho was in the kitchen sitting snacks out
"Hopefully. And don't over drink or nothing. Shit I don't even think y'all should drink." Go told us. I'm not a drinker but Huncho is for sure
"I just wanna have fun. There is a few drinks but I don't plan on drinking any. And y'all know 12 is gonna try to shut us down if we get way too loud" Huncho came out the kitchen and sat on the couch
"I still gotta work tomorrow also from 8 to 2" I told them.
Within the next hour people started flooding in the house.
I mostly sat on the couch and just looked around, I'm not really a party person nor a social person
Mari was dancing with some girl, Huncho was standing on the table yelling the song that was playing and Go was outside
I turned to the door and saw Skylar, Jaz, Kyle and a few of the elite players walk in the door. I let out a warm small smile and waved at them.
They all went they separated ways while Skylar came and sat by me. "Hey Ja'Kai"
"Hey Sky, you know you can just call me Kai" I told him and she smiled at me "Ok Kai. Why are you just sitting here?"
"I'm not a social person like that. I also got to work tomorrow" I told her "plus I nervous about the tryouts tomorrow"
"Yea my dad can be very hard on his players. I don't want to make you more nervous but he does plan on tell y'all who made the team on the spot. Mostly because the first game is next Saturday." She told me which made me more nervous than ever
"But just chill it's your best friend birthday have fun" she said and I smiled. "Wanna dance" she asked me and I was conflicted at first but decided to dance with her
It wasn't nothing to serious. It was like two friends dancing together until Kyle came over. He took Sky's hand and they moved away from me. I stood there for a second before decided to sit back on the couch.

"Kyle it's not that serious you acting like I was all up on him" I semi-yelled as he continued to pull me into the bathroom
He slammed the door close "that's not the fucking point. I'm you boyfriend you shouldn't be dance with anybody else"
"Look Kyle you can go. You didn't want to be here in the first place and if it's making you that uncomfortable, leave." I told her trying to grab the door handle but he moved in front of it.
"What so fucking special about Ja'Kai? After meeting him he's all you talking about, and it seems like it's all you think about" I rolled my eyes at him
"Kyle it's because our relationship is boring and old. We don't do nothing but sit at each other house and watch tv shit. Any time I try to do something with you, you always making up an excuse. And I'm sick of it. And I'm not think about Ja'Kai like that. It more being on a high of excitement to be able to do something I love. And the only thing that you can see is that I have a crush on him"
He took a deep breath "I'm sorry Sky"
"No Kyle. You're not and it's the reason why I don't want to be with you anymore. You wanna be this overprotective person but it sickening to me."
"Wait so you're breaking up with me because of Ja'Kai" his face had turned pink and I sighed
"No Kyle I'm been wanted to break up with you" I finally was able to get out the bathroom. I went outside to see Marquis dancing with Kai and Go
They were smiling but then we heard gun shots and police sirens. People start running out and I felt someone grab my arm and pull me down. It was Kai
There was a few more gun shots that let off which made me scream
We laid on the ground for a few more minutes before Kai got up. He put it hand out and I took it to get up as well "you good" I nodded
"Y'all see Mari" he asked as he let go of my hand and went into the house "JA'MARI"
"I'm right here Kai" I saw his brother come off the ground in the kitchen. I was a few of the Elite players leaving with Kyle "I ain't never coming back out here" I heard Kyle say
"You good." Marquis asked me and I nodded "how you getting home"
"I drove here" I told him. I was still in shock. I never experienced anything like this and yet Kai, Go and Marquis are really phased by it.
